C4 island tour - We went on o full island tour with Elisandro and his Dad , Aldaberto, and we had the best day! We saw the most beautiful sights with interesting facts and insider knowledge from Aldaberto; we couldn’t have asked for a better day. We swam with the lemon sharks (bring €3 for your beach shoes,a must) and were taken in to the sea with a guide who knew how to get the sharks to swim around us. (We’d bought my son an underwater camera for his birthday and the footage is incredible!!) We also went to the salt lakes where we floated for half an hour! The children were amazed, and the adults not much less so!! The ‘blue eye’ was as one of the most incredible things I’ve seen…and we got to jump to queue thanks to our wonderful guide!! It was an incredible tour where we didn’t feel rushed or hurried along. We also had a photographer with us for the day, Honaldo (sp,sorry!) who has given us the most precious photos of our day on the island. They are some of the most beautiful photos we have as a family. When we met Elisandro on the beach we booked with him in the hope of a good day for my son’s 9th birthday treat while we were here. What we experienced was the most incredible day, full of once in a lifetime experiences and happiness. (A side note, it’s worth being more euros/CVS than you think you need as few places accept cards). If you book with C4, Elisandro, Aldaberto and Hondaldo, you won’t be disappointed. Thank you Team C4.

Insight into local living on Sal - Our guide Chan was born and lives in Espargos and gave us a very personal insight into the history and lives of people in Sal's capital. A few of the facts had been covered in the Sal experience tour we had done the previous day but this one provided more time to experience Sal away from the the main tourist areas of the island and Santa Maria. Chan brought to life the community spirit of the town and is clearly well know and liked by them! We ended with some tasty local small bites, dontrybthebmaize cake, and with tamarind and boa juices. Chan's enthusiasm was infectious and we would recommend this tour for those wanting to spend a moment with the welcoming Capoverdians. Thank you Chan

Lovely afternoon and evening out in Espargos - Highly recommended. Takes you on a tour of Espargos city and gives you some insight about the history of Cabo Verde. Our local guide Chan was great and made the experience fun and enriching. We also had a little taster of local food and drinks. Hotel pick up and drop off was very convenient.

Funny, informative and entertaining tour - highly recommened - Chan our guide was excellent. He was really lively and engaging and very knowledgeable about the stop points. He answered lots of questions about the history of Cape Verde and Sal and how the city of Espargos came to be. He's also an excellent photographer - I'd highly recommend this activity.

A great experience - It was brilliant! Chan, our guide, was great - so knowledgeable and passionate about the city. We saw the city’s artwork, heard great stories, experienced where real Cape Verdeans live, and tasted their lovely food and drinks. It’s was great to go off the beaten track and venture outside the tourist areas and see more of Cape Verde. Entertaining, educational, safe and well worth.

All done before 3pm - It's a small island. However, a day trip with a 100m running champion in the all Portuguese speaking world helped learned a lot about the country, the islands and the people. Lucky me! Floating on the salt mine pond and watching the baby sharks were quite exciting experiences. 'Blue Eye' the volcano water hole on the coast was not in the right season to jump in. Over all it was worth the trip to know the island more and worth every penny!
