Highly recommend this tour if you want to find out more about Roman life and see it first hand. - Excellent tour, both Walter and Hannah had a lot of knowledge to share around the volcanic activity and the archaeological site. Their passion was evident and made the tour very informative. Thank you

Wonderful and spectacular 👌 - The excursion was great, an unforgettable experience, your guide Rafael made it very enjoyable for us, but the most notable thing about the excursion without a doubt was the Civitatis guide Gabriel Casavega with his kindness, self-confidence and his smile, attentive throughout the entire moment of each one of us, that we were comfortable and to finish he has recommended an ice cream parlor where we have been able to enjoy the best ice cream that we have never eaten or will ever eat, so for all this the "Maradona of the guides" is the best thing that has happened to us on this trip. I hope we meet again 😉

Herculaneum - It was great seeing most of Herculaneum, but our guide, although very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the subject, unfortunately had a strong Italian accent and spoke quickly, so I didn't get as much out of the tour as I'd hoped.

A great few hours at Herculaneum - The whole experience was enjoyable. The pickup was well handled and the leader was very knowledgeable and her command of several languages was significant.

Day in Herculaneum - Regulatory experience. We waited 1 hour to leave (without any explanation from Federica, the guide, we don't know if the group was delayed or had met in another place and at another time). No group found us in Spanish, they offered us an audio guide and no other option. They assured us of a group with a guide in Spanish and we were with an American group with a guide in English (despite being Italian and speaking some Spanish, Rafael showed little interest in explaining anything to us, when we couldn't find it in the audio guide. It was like going on your own, three times more expensive.

It was a small group but... - It was a small group but most of the group spoke Spanish. The guide tried very hard but he couldn’t really do what we had at Pompeii with an English only tour. Not his fault. If it had been clear that it was not an English only tour I would have chosen another option.

Pedantic, barely intelligible guide ruins what should been a good experience. - The homes with well preserved mosaics were splendid. Our tour guide, Raphael, spoke heavily accented English in a low voice and was often difficult to understand or hear. Instead of moving along at a reasonable pace, he often stopped a long time in some places to lecture us on the basics of Roman Empire history and culture as though we were a grade school class with no previous knowledge of the subject. He frequently went off on tangents speaking about that were not relevant to Herculaneum. When he did speak about what were we’re seeing it was in excessive, long winde minute detail. It was an excruciatingly boring experience because of the guide.

Excursion to Herculaneum - The excursion begins in Naples with an hour waiting inside the bus and a guide, Fernanda, who does not know Spanish. Without any explanation from her, we arrived in Herculaneum and after having paid 74 euros for a guide in Spanish, they gave us an audio guide and put us in a group with a guide who does the tour in English, Rafael, who did not help us. He pays no interest and is almost annoyed when we ask him about something in the audio guide. Herculano is certainly worth it, but the conditions were not optimal. I recommend Sandra from World Tours that when organizing an excursion you make sure of its conditions.

Be wary of trusting these people. - The tour was cancelled due to low numbers and not due to any fault on my behalf. I have not received any refund 7 days later.
