Murchison Falls National Park - Begin the day with breakfast before heading to Murchison Falls National Park. The journey will take you through the Luwero Triangle and Budongo Forest in the western Rift Valley, offering stunning views of the countryside.
Arrive in the afternoon, enjoy lunch, and embark on an afternoon (sunset) game drive. Expect to see elephants, buffalo, antelopes, giraffes, and possibly lions and leopards. The game track network converges at Delta Point, where the Nile flows north from Lake Albert, a perfect spot for refreshments and viewing water birds and distant hippos.
After the game drive, check in to Fort Murchison Lodge (permanent safari tents), Red Chilli Hideaway Camp (permanent tents or basic bandas), or Hornbill Bush Lodge (cottages) for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.
Lunch, Dinner, and drinking water are included.
Morning (Sunrise) Game Drive & Afternoon Boat Safari on Victoria/Nile River, Murchison Falls National Park
Murchison Falls National Park - Enjoy a safari breakfast before dawn to start a morning game drive at sunrise. This is the best time for wildlife spotting as animals are most active during the “golden hours.” You may encounter elephants, buffaloes, and various antelope species, and with luck, a lion or leopard.
Return for lunch, then embark on a 3-hour boat safari upstream on the Victoria Nile to the falls, passing breathtaking scenery, crocodiles, hippos, buffaloes, water birds, and animals by the Nile. The boat will drop you near the waterfall for a hike (1-1.5 hrs) to the top of the falls.
Enjoy a short sunset game drive before returning to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and drinking water are included.
Top of the Falls Walk & Transfer to Kibale National Park for a Guided Walk in Nature at Amabere Caves or Crater Lakes Walk
Kibale National Park - Enjoy your last sunrise and breakfast in this beautiful Ugandan National Park with a walk to the top of Murchison Falls (30 minutes to 1 hour) before transferring to Kibale National Park. Along the way, enjoy scenic stops before reaching Fort Portal for lunch at Fort Portal Garden Restaurant.
Fort Portal - After lunch, choose a guided Crater Lakes & Plantation Walk. The landscape south of Fort Portal features picturesque crater lakes, some over 400m deep, offering excellent hiking opportunities through lakes, villages, tea plantations, and waterfalls.
Amabere Caves - Alternatively, take a guided nature walk at Amabere Caves to view stalagmites, crater lakes, and birds, and enjoy hill climbing. The Amabere Ga Nyina Mwiru Caves are a historic site believed to be the birthplace of the founding King of Bachwezi. The stalactites resemble a woman’s breasts or a cow’s udder.
After your chosen activity, check in to Lake Nkuruba Nature Reserve & Community Campsite (cottages), Kibale Forest Camp (permanent safari tents), or Kibale Forest Lodge (rooms) for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.
Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and drinking water are included.
Visit to Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary OR Optional Chimps Tracking & Transfer to Queen NP for Afternoon (Sunset) Game Drive
Bigodi Wetlands Sanctuary - Start the day early with breakfast before a Swamp Walk in the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, home to 8 primate species, over 200 bird species, butterflies, and various reptiles.
Kibale National Park - Alternatively, opt for an optional Chimpanzee Tracking experience in Kibale National Park, following an experienced guide to observe these fascinating creatures up close. While chances of encountering chimpanzees are high, it is not guaranteed. The park is also home to 10 other primates, including l’hoestes, red colobus, blues, red-tailed, and gray-cheeked mangabey. The guide will provide detailed explanations on all forest fauna and flora, ensuring an informative and enjoyable walk.
Queen Elizabeth National Park - In the afternoon, transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park for lunch and an afternoon game drive, expecting to see elephants, buffaloes, lions, bush pigs, and antelope families.
After the game drive, check in to The Bush Lodge (permanent safari tents), Pumba Safari Lodge (rooms), or Tembo Safari Lodge (cottages) for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.
Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and bottled drinking water are included.
Chimps Tracking/Trekking at Kyambura Gorge, Afternoon Boat Safari on Kazinga Channel & Sunset Game Drive
Kyambura Game Reserve (Kyambura Gorge) - Start the day early with breakfast before heading to Kyambura Gorge in Queen Elizabeth National Park or Kalinzu Forest Reserve for a Chimpanzee Tracking/Trekking experience. Follow an experienced guide to observe these fascinating creatures up close. While chances of encountering chimpanzees are high at 90%, it is not guaranteed. The guide will provide detailed explanations on all forest fauna and flora, ensuring an informative and enjoyable walk.
Kazinga Channel - Return for lunch, then head to Kazinga Channel for an exciting boat safari. Spot numerous hippos, elephants, and buffaloes as they wander to the shoreline to bathe in the cooling waters.
After the boat safari, enjoy a sunset game drive before returning to The Bush Lodge (permanent safari tents), Pumba Safari Lodge (rooms), or Tembo Safari Lodge (cottages) for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.
Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and bottled drinking water are included.
Morning (Sunrise) Game Drive at Ishasha Sector to Search for Tree Climbing Lions & Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - After the game drive, travel to the “Switzerland of Africa,” the Kigezi Highlands, with its terraced hillsides and winding roads. Enjoy spectacular views of the mountainous countryside, offering incredible photography opportunities. This “impenetrable forest” protects over 400 gorillas, approximately half of the world’s population, including habituated groups that visitors can track.
Arrive in the late afternoon and check in to Gorilla Bluff Lodge (cottages), Ride 4 a Woman (cottages), or Rushaga Gorilla Haven Lodge (cottages) for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.
Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and drinking water are included.
Mountain Gorillas Tracking/Trekking & Batwa/Pygmies Community Cultural Experience
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - After breakfast, hike to the park headquarters near the lodge for a briefing by UWA guides before transferring to the starting point for gorilla tracking. Bwindi has the largest concentration of gorillas, given its small size. The search for gorillas takes you through the thick rainforest, scrambling over mossy rocks and through deep undergrowth. Observing gorillas in their natural habitat is a lifetime experience. Experienced ranger guides will share information about the history and lifestyle of these gorillas.
After gorilla tracking, visit the Batwa community to learn about their traditions, including traditional dance, beer making, and fire setting, before checking in to Travellers Rest Hotel in Kisoro or Golden Monkeys Guest House for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.
Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and drinking water are included.
Golden Monkeys Tracking/Trekking & Canoe/Boat Ride on Lake Bunyonyi
Mgahinga Gorilla National Park - Similar to gorilla trekking, begin Golden Monkey tracking with a pre-tracking briefing at the Park headquarters. Hiking through the forests to see Golden Monkeys is less strenuous than gorilla tracking, as they live in lower areas, so tracking takes less than 3 hours. Spend one hour with the Golden Monkey family, taking photographs and observing their behavior. There is no minimum number of visitors, and the age limit is 12 years.
Lake Bunyonyi - After lunch, enjoy a canoe ride on scenic Lake Bunyonyi, the only lake where you can visit all 29 islands, including the floating Island and the Punishment Island, where young girls who became pregnant before marriage were abandoned.
Check in to Itambira Island, Seeds of Hope Hotel (tree house cottages), or Bunyonyi Overland Resort (cottages) for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.
Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and drinking water are included.
To Lake Mburo National Park for Afternoon (Sunset) Game Drive
Lake Mburo National Park - After an early breakfast, depart Lake Bunyonyi and drive to Lake Mburo National Park via Kabale Town. Be welcomed by herds of zebra, buffalo, eland, and antelope grazing in the savannah grass.
Arrive in the afternoon, have lunch, and go for an afternoon game drive, spotting zebras, buffaloes, impalas, warthogs, waterbucks, and more. Birdwatchers will enjoy seeing malachite kingfishers, African fish eagles, blue-headed weavers, Rufous long-tailed starlings, herons, pelicans, the rare shoebill, and cormorants.
After the game drive, check in to Hyena Hill Lodge (cottages) or Eagles’ Nest Lodge (permanent safari tents) for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.
Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and bottled drinking water are included.
Morning (Sunrise) Walking Safari or Guided Walk in Nature, Equator Experience & Departure
Lake Mburo National Park - Enjoy your last sunrise in this beautiful part of Uganda with a guided nature walk (walking safari with a guide) to spot zebras, giraffes, eland, topi, antelope, and Cape buffaloes up close. If time and conditions allow, take the trail to the top of the hills to see Lake Mburo and beyond, with views of 9 of the 12 lakes surrounding Lake Mburo National Park.
Equator Entebbe - After the walking safari, your guide will drive you through beautiful scenery back to Kampala or Entebbe, or drop you off at Entebbe International Airport 3 hours before your departure, with a stop at the equator for an equator experience and photo opportunities.
Please ensure your flight departs after 6 pm at the earliest. For flights departing before 6 pm, an extra night in Entebbe can be arranged at an additional cost.
