Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
Murchison Falls National Park - After breakfast, a guide/driver from Sankofa Afrika Safaris will welcome you and provide a briefing about the trip. You will then set off for Murchison Falls National Park via Luwelo, with a stopover at Luwelo to purchase fruit. Later, visit the Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking, followed by lunch and checking into the park.
Game drive and boat cruise
Murchison Falls National Park - Start your day with an early morning breakfast before heading out for a morning game drive. You’ll have the opportunity to see fascinating wildlife such as elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, bushbucks, waterbucks, giraffes, and warthogs. Afterward, return to the lodge for lunch and enjoy an afternoon Nile boat cruise to observe Nile crocodiles, hippos, and unique bird species. The breathtaking waterfalls will leave you in awe and wishing for more time in the park. After the cruise, return to the lodge to relax.
Transfer to Kibale National Park
Kibale National Park - After breakfast, check out of the safari lodge and begin your journey to Kibale Forest National Park. The drive will take you through the stunning Albertine Escarpments, offering views of the picturesque countryside. Enjoy lunch in Hoima before arriving at Kibale National Park in the evening.
Chimpanzee trekking and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Kibale National Park - After breakfast, head to the park headquarters at Kanyanchu Visitor Center at 7:00 am for a pre-tracking briefing. Enter the Kibale Forest to search for mankind’s closest relatives. Once the chimps are spotted, you will have one hour to observe them. Expect to see various primate species, including red-tailed monkeys, L’Hoest’s monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, and olive baboons, as well as birds, butterflies, and interesting tree species.
Return to the lodge for lunch, then check out and begin your journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park in the afternoon. Along the way, enjoy views of the majestic Mountains of the Moon.
Game drive and boat cruise at Queen Elizabeth National Park
Queen Elizabeth National Park - Enjoy an early morning breakfast before embarking on a game drive through the Kasenyi Plains, where you may spot Uganda kobs, elephants, buffaloes, bushbucks, Defassa waterbucks, and warthogs. The park is also home to 612 bird species. After the drive, return to the lodge for lunch and prepare for a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, where you can see hippos, Nile crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, and bird species like kingfishers and the African fish eagle.
Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable
Budongo Forest Chimpanzee Tracking - After breakfast, check out of the lodge and head to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, known as Uganda’s mountain gorilla capital. Travel through the stunning savannah grasslands of Queen Elizabeth National Park and small Ugandan towns, with a lunch stop along the way, before checking into the lodge.
Gorilla trekking and community walk
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - Start with an early breakfast and proceed to the park headquarters for a pre-tracking briefing at 7:00 am. Venture into the jungles to track the magnificent mountain gorillas in their mist-covered natural habitat. Once located, you will have one hour to observe the gorilla family, study their behavior, and take photos. Return to the lodge to relax. If time permits and you have the energy, continue with a cultural walk to Batwa villages to experience their ancient lifestyles and enjoy their traditional dances.
Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for a night and Transfer to Kampala for Departure
Kampala - Begin your day with a cup of coffee or tea and embark on a game drive through diverse landscapes, including rocky outcrops, acacia woodlands, and hillsides. You will have the chance to see a variety of wildlife, such as zebras, giraffes, impalas, topis, elands, waterbucks, and bushbucks, along with numerous bird species. After the drive, continue to Kampala/Entebbe.
