Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - At 06:30 am after your breakfast you be ready to a transfer to Bwind. Here you will follow Kampala-Kabale Highway and this will take you roughly 9 hours to cover over 512 km. Have lunch en-route at Ntungamo and then proceed to the Park. Check in your lodge, relax, dine and have an overnight stay.

Bwindi provides a distinctive and remarkable adventure for visitors interested in mountain gorillas, with 35 known Gorilla groups in the park and 17 that have become accustomed to human interactions for the purposes of research and tourism.

The ancient forest, which has stood for over 25,000 years, is renowned for its biological diversity. It is home to more than 120 mammal species including the chimpanzee, blue monkey, L’Hoest’s monkey, and the mountain gorilla. Birdwatchers can revel in observing 357 avian species, among which 23 are unique to the Albertine Rift Valley, examples are the short-tailed warbler and the African green broadbill. Herpetologists will find interest in the 220 species of amphibians such as frogs, as well as reptiles like chameleons and geckos, many of which are at risk of extinction. Botanically speaking, this park is one of the most varied in East Africa, with over 1,000 species of blooming plants, in addition to 163 species of trees and 104 species of ferns. Visitors also have the opportunity to encounter the local Pygmy population, recognized as the shortest in the world, whose fascinating traditional lifestyle is something travelers will not want to miss.
