Excellent Tour and Guide! Watch out for marketplace - Easy going but excellent tour with a very friendly guide and nice views. The only negative experience was in the market so be careful of the shopping area - we purchased some candy and when we returned from vacation two days later we discovered they were expired and moldy. The tequila store also kept insisting we pay in USD on my card but my bank auto converts foreign currency for free - would definitely bring more Mexican pesos next time. Other than that, we really had a great time and wonderful tour guide!

Reputable Company - Gilberto is an excellent communicator and very kind. I accidentally booked my trip for the wrong day, and he tried to find us a driver anyway at the last minute. When no one was available the morning of, he even gave me a refund for the deposit (even though it was my fault for mis-scheduling). I would definitely recommend this company and their great customer service!

Fun to be - It was my first time in Mexico. I visted with total 10 company. Guide Eric was perfect in English. He explained the city tour while we were on the way of La Bufadora. In the fleet market, I tried to buy belt but buckle was looks too cheap, so no buy. Food was good. Geyser was fun to see.

Great tour. - The tide was out, so no blow hole... but still a great tour. Good shopping and food! We Recommend this! Gilberto made the tour. Great communicator. Knowledgeable about the city and the area. He did everything he could except turn on the water pump at the blow hole to make this a fun time for our family.

Private tour was great - much better than a cruise excursion! - Our cruise excursion of Ensenada was cancelled, and all others were filled up. I was excited to find the option to take a private tour for our family of 4 on TripAdvisor. I messaged the "tour operator" the night before to make sure all was in order, as I was a little uneasy about whether or not the trip was confirmed. Gilberto messaged me back very quickly and confirmed Lucy would be our private tour guide. Gilberto checked in with us again in the morning to make sure we were all set for the tour and with instructions on where to meet up. Lucy warmly greeted us off the boat and drove us through scenic Ensenada (great mountain and ocean views). At La Bufadora, she walked us through the marketplace and took us to a private tequila tasting, got to see a baby tiger, and walked us to La Bufadora and took pictures for us along the way. She also suggested a taco place where our family had lunch. Gilberto was leading a larger tour group through at the same time and warmly introduced himself and made sure our family was having a great time. Lucy was a great tour guide. The trip was so much more enjoyable than a cruise excursion as we could avoid the waiting for large groups to be called, avoid the crowded buses, etc. It also was more affordable to boot!

The Blow Hole - The scenes up to LaBufudira was spectacular and beautiful. took a minute to get there but worth it. our driver Alejandro handled us with care. We thought we would a have a tour guide but i guess it didn’t include that but Alejandro offered to walk with us. He patiently waited until we were ready to leave. We loved the Blow Hole, such a beautiful event to witness. was worth the price in gold.

Worth the money and got to see the blowhole as promised but no frills - We received instructions for meeting up with our tour guide the day before we arrived, but that was challenging because our ship internet was terrible. I eventually got the meeting information (walk all the way off the cruise terminal and across the street to a museum) and our guide was waiting with my name on a sign. She was friendly and spoke English, but not especially well. We got in her small four door car and started on our way. She pointed out various places of interest here and there, but was unable to answer questions about the history of Ensenada or much beyond "there is the air force base," "there is a grocery," "these are farming fields." It was okay, but we would have loved to learn more. When we arrived, the tour guide parked and walked us down to the blow hole, stopping at various points to show us the best taco stand, the best place to get a margarita, and the shops that sold silver, etc. It was patently obvious that she was in no rush to get us down to our destination and instead seemed to want us to spend time shopping or buying things from vendors who appeared familiar with her. This was a little annoying, as the vendors are extremely aggressive and we would have appreciated her help letting the vendors know that we were not there for shopping. At one point, I asked if we could keep moving because she was standing by a shop clearly wanting us to go in. She took us down to the blow hole, but again continued to stand near vendors that she wanted us to shop from and I actually had to ask her where we should go to see the blowhole. When we got down there, she told us she would be waiting at the car when we got done and she left. We stayed, watched, got pictures, and enjoyed the scenery a bit before meandering back through all of the aggressive vendors who are arranged in a chute from the entrance of the area to the blowhole. We did not bring any cash and most of the vendors only accept cash, so we were especially uninterested in shopping but that didn't stop them from shoving menus in our faces or trying to get us to go into their shops. When we got back up the hill, we ordered fish tacos and margaritas from the recommended place and they WERE EXCELLENT. We then met back at the car where our tour guide was waiting as promised and she drove us back to the port. Fortunately, she was able to take paypal for her tip because we didn't have cash and she seemed reluctant to take us to an ATM for pesos. Overall, the experience was worth what we paid and we did get what we paid for. The reason for the 3 star rating was the tour guide's apparent boredom with the actual tour portion and the fact that she kept sticking us into vendor paths like we were bait.
