Unforgettable sun set and sun rise in the sand dunes. - A very memorable overnight trip into Rub Al Khali with interesting stop-overs in Ubar and Wadi Dawkah on the way there. We also stopped at a camel farm which is interesting if you have not seen camels elsewhere. Our guide Ibrahim was very friendly and did an excellent job in finding quiet places on the sand dunes to enjoy an unforgettable sun set and sun rise the next morning. He also provided us with a lot of information on the way of life in Oman which helped us to better understanding the country and its people.

Camping on the dunes - We had a wonderful and culturally rich experience with Abo Salim, an omani and local bedouin who went out of his way to make our night in the desert memorable. Given the option to set camp in a dune close to the bedouin camps for a more private experience, we said yes and did not regret our choice. We picked up food on the way with Abo Salim, incl. camel meat and omani sweets, and made our way to the desert. We got to the dunes at a perfect time to witness the sunset. Abo Salim made omani tea and cooked a delicious meal for us, set up the tent, took pictures, and answered our many questions. We spent the evening enjoying the calm and landscape, and exchanging about the omani and western culture. Thank you again Abo Salim. We wish you and your family all the best.

Unique desert camp experience - Crossing the Empty Quarter desert sand tunes was an amazing experience and I highly recommend this trip, especially for those looking for an exciting adventure! We had fun taking pictures and videos at an authentic camel farm, and tried camel milk. The camel meat and chicken BBQ at the camp were delicious. The beds inside the tent we’re comfortable. Although the day was cloudy and we did not see the sunset nor sunrise, the trip is still a memorable one.
