The trail now spans approximately 8 km, with a duration of 3:30-4 hours, featuring an elevation change of -300m/+300m. Hikers can get remarkably close to one of the volcano’s craters, previously 400m away, now just 1m from the edge of another crater. The terrain remains covered in volcanic ash.
Meeting point: La Palma Outdoor (C/ Antonio Pino Pérez, Nº1 in El Paso) at 08:45.
Weather conditions may necessitate altering the route to a linear path towards the Las Manchas neighborhood. The duration remains unchanged, but the elevation difference would be +100m/-600m, and the distance would be 6.5 km. Participants will be returned to the La Palma Outdoor office.
