Masada National Park - Masada is an ancient palace overlooking the Dead Sea and the Judean desert. We take a cable car to the top and see how King Herod the Great turned the desert into a magnificent residence with luxury quarters, bathhouse and even a swimming pool.
Masada was also the last stand of the Jews in the revolt against the Romans in 73CE. We will learn how the Romans besieged the site and what happened to the Jews when the Romans finally breached the walls. It has become a symbol of determination, freedom and heroism. -

Amazing tour guide, highly recommend!! - Simon did a fantastic job as our tour guide and would highly recommend him! We did a tour of the old city and separately a Masada/Dead Sea tour and on both he was fantastic. He had a great knowledge of history, answered all our questions and made our visit to Israel very meaningful. Highly recommend!

Simon Oster knows his stuff when taking a tour with him in Israel. - How lucky we were to have Simon Oster as our guide in Israel. Professional and punctual. Simon's knowledge of Israel, it's people and it's history knows no bounds.....and a bonus for me was his expertise on all things military. If you're planning to venture to Israel, look no further than Simon for your guide, I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

Caesarea and so much more! - I can't say enough great things about Simon but first I want to share a little of my story. I just visited Israel for the first time, traveling solo, this July. I was was very nervous traveling alone and wasn't sure which tour guide work with. My trip was sort of last minute when I was accepted to the JNF Educator's mission. When I reached out on social media for suggestions, I came across Simon. I am so glad I did. Simon took me to Caesarea for what was supposed to be a half day tour. Simon went above and beyond. He not only educated me about Caesarea but provided me with so much valuable information about other sites including places I would be traveling to on my own without him. A week after we met, I was in the old city in Jerusalem, I had his voice in my head remembering things he told me to look out for there. He was more than just a guide for the one day we spent together, he had a real impact on my overall Israel experience. While I didn't have time to see everything I would like to in Israel, I know when I return, I will be reaching out to Simon for future guided tours. In terms of the logistics of my tour, Simon picked me up in his very comfortable, air conditioned vehicle, and was kind enough to drop me off at a second location. And to top it all off, after visiting Caesarea on a very hot day, Simon bought me the best ice cream I had on my trip. Simon speaks very articulately and is easy to understand. I can't thank him enough and please reach out to him if you are in need of a tour guide. You will be so happy you did.

Touring Israel with Simon is Amazing - If you have the chance to book Simon Oster, don't hesitate! We were fortunate to have Simon as our guide for two days, exploring Masada, the Dead Sea, and Jerusalem from our rental in Tel Aviv. Simon customized our itinerary to perfectly match our needs, focusing on ensuring we had the best experience possible rather than watching the clock. He provided a comfortable, spacious SUV and took care of every detail.
Simon is a treasure trove of knowledge, offering valuable insights and information throughout the tour. Remarkably, he kept our teenagers engaged and interested the entire time. We will enthusiastically recommend Simon to all our friends, and if you're lucky enough to tour with him, you'll surely do the same! 😊

Fantasitic!! Would definitely recommend - The tour was absolutely incredible. Simon explains all the history so informatively and knowledgeably. The tour was so enjoyable and the sights were stunning. Could not recommend more.
