A Perfect Afternoon in Edinburgh - We had such a good time at the tasting! Neal's approach to explaining the world of Whiskey thought us beginners way more than any tour of a distillery. He had an answer to all our questions and the Whiskey was delicious. We can really recommend booking a tasting! It was great fun :)

What a delight! - A friend organised my tasting, as a birthday present. What a surprise and what a delight! I learnt about whisky. I learnt something of the history of whisky and the science behind it. But above all I learnt how to taste and understand whisky. Neil adjusts his tastings to his tasters! He'll entertain you. He'll answer ANY question, however simple YOU think your question might be. These tastings are for anyone and everyone. They'll be personal to you. If you're new to Edinburgh this will be a highlight of your visit. If you're new to whisky, this will set you on the right road. I recommend Neil's whisky tastings without reservation

Amazing experience for all whisky lovers! - Ok, where to start. First of all, it was an amazing experience. Neil is great "whisky geek" who has a lot of whisky experience, a lot of knowledge, a lot of passion, and he genuinely share it with you. And I'm speaking not as a beginner who had just been introduced to whisky, but as a "geek" who has decades of experience by myself. Neil has prepared for any level of expertise you have - beginner or expert, he will be speaking "your language", and no matter how much knowledge you have, you will learn something new. Next thing, he has great whisky selection to make this tasting interesting for everybody. Plus he is trying to surprise you, which is great too. And finally, Neil is very nice and kind person, it was my pleasure to have a conversation with him. I don't even remember how much time we spent just talking, before we even started the tasting itself. So, summarizing all the above - I strongly recommend to attend the tasting with "Drams without Drama", I'm sure you won't regret this experience. I'm sure when I'll be in Edinburgh next time, I will contact Neil to experience the tasting again. Slainte.

Highly recommended tasting!! Great experience :) - Our first whisky tasting was an outstanding experience! Neil is a real whisky lover and connoisseur which can be seen and felt from the very beginning. Although he surely knows all the technical terms around whisky making he did a great job explaining things more simplified for people with little knowledge about the water of life. :) Anytime again - slainte!

A great whisky tasting of the rare and old. - I opted for the ‘Upgrade’ to taste rare and old whiskys which was a memorable experience. Neil is solid in his knowledge of whiskys and can demystify the spirit for beginners as well as converse to very deep levels of knowledge with enthusiasts. The tasting allowed me to experiment really rare whiskys that I would not have been able to. I highly recommend going to Neil if you’re in Edinburgh and want to taste whiskys with a guru !

Excellent whisky education - Fantastic experience if you want to learn about different styles and tastes of Whisky. Neil is highly knowledgeable and passionate about whisky. So much better than doing a’tour’ of a distillery with an inexperienced guide. Highly recommend.

Like sitting down with a friend for the evening - We had the old and rare tasting for three people. It was delightful and lacked the stiffness of a larger group tasting. I absolutely recommend it! Even though we were quite inexperienced with whisky tasting, Neil took this into account and told us a lot about the process and the whiskeys. We learned a lot and also became fans of new whiskeys. We will treasure this experience and hope to return for another excellent tasting!
