Cook and dine: a real fake - I bought the experience "Cook and Dine" as a present for a couple, of friends of mine, who went to Edinburgh for a long weekend. They are learning English, so we thought this would be a good activity to talk to native speakers, and learn some traditions. They also love cooking, so, we thought this would be a real experience to learn to cook Scottish food. But, what happened was all the opposite. First, they found it really difficult to find the place, as it was not indicated at all, the address was not clear and the street very dark. Second, they found the house was not clean enough for food-related experience. The cooking class lasted only 10 minutes, the main course was brought directly to the table, were my friends sat alone, with nobody to talk to. The food was very scarce, this is to say that not much food was offered, and no wine or beer at all, only a sip of whisky after the food. The activity, which was meant to last for 3 hours, lasted only an hour and scratch, my friends didn't feel well at this house and felt alone. Some literature was also meant to be explained, but the host didn't explain anything, she only left some papers to be read. All in all, it was a SWINDLE , as we paid 307 euros for it, thinking it was going to be a nice cooking class, a nice dinner, with nice company and interesting conversation and some drinks.

Cook and dine: a real disaster - I paid it gor a present to a friend of mine who went to visit Edjmburg, and who likes cooking. She called me when she finished tbe experience horrified and sick. The place was very old and really dirty, it was disgusting. The woman, who pretended to be the cook and teacher did not know how to run the activity and the food was uneatable. It was a really bad and "scary" ecperience. She and her husband felt really sick the following day.
