- Rosslyn Chapel - From our starting point by Edinburgh Castle, we head out of the city to the village of Roslin, making our first stop at Rosslyn Chapel. Described as the “Library in Stone”, the inside walls of Rosslyn Chapel are covered in thousands of ancient carvings, each with a story of its own. You can also learn of the myths and legends surrounding the chapel, including tales of the Knights Templar. Rosslyn Chapel’s worldwide fame increased thanks to “The Da Vinci Code”, Dan Brown’s blockbusting novel.
- Melrose Abbey - We travel to the historic town of Melrose, birthplace of the game of Rugby Sevens and location of Melrose Abbey, founded in 660, said to be the burial place of the casket containing the heart of Robert the Bruce. Here we stop for lunch and have free time to explore Melrose and its Abbey.
Due to masonry inspections, there is currently no visitor access to the abbey church.
- Glenkinchie Distillery - Explore lowland distillery Glenkinchie, now owned by Johnnie Walker. Join a tour to learn how whisky is made and taste some their most popular single malt.

- Minimum age is 4 years old.
- Collapsible wheelchairs with removable wheels can be accommodated providing the passenger is accompanied by someone who can assist them board and disembark.

Excellent tour of Rosalyn and Glenkinchie! - We really enjoyed this tour of Rosslyn and Glenkinchie! Eric, our driver, was informative, entertaining and played great music during our trek. Highly recommended!

Amazing tour - Amazing tour all made possible by Eric, our amazing tour guide! He was very knowlegeable and engaging. The history of these locations was intriguing and overall a great day! Would highly recommend!

The best of the best with Eric. - We had Eric as our tour guide and he was fantastic. His knowledge of the area was great along with the wonderful stories he shared with us, and let’s not forget the bad jokes he shared 🤣. All kidding aside Eric was a fantastic guide and when we come back again next year we hope to find that he is still doing tours. Eric was very kind and caring in helping me and my husband who is handicapped in getting into and out of the coach. He is a true gem.

Wonderful Tour! Wonderful Guide! - My Wife and I loved this experience! Eric, our driver and guide, was amazing. HE was the hidden gem of Scotland. He told great stories, took us to off-the-path views and prepped us for “what to expect next” along the way. Truly an A+ experience!

Rosslyn Chapel - Very good day with our excellent driver, Eric. The Rosslyn Chapel was beautiful, a knowledgeable guide gave us the history of the chapel and the family. Melrose is a nice small town with several places to choose from to eat. The Abby is under restoration so we could only walk around the grounds. The visit to Glenkinchie distillery was very interesting and informative with a great guide Tony. A marvelous day in all.

Great Day! - We had a fantastic day on tour with Marty!
Marty is funny, engaging, entertaining and very knowledgeable on Scottish history and culture. It was a wonderful mix of history, scenery and local food and Whisky. We highly recommend this tour!

Say hello to the beautiful Lowlands! - Excellent value for money trip that opened my eyes to the beauty of the Scottish Lowlands. Offers something for everyone and even travelling solo it was great. Plenty of stops allowing you to experience local towns. Excellent guide!

Little taste of Scotland 🏴 - Absolutely superb! Eric, our tour guide, was well knowledgeable about border town but most all made the experience personable and pleasant. Thank you Eric.
If you are in Edinburgh for a short duration, love culture, and want to have a little snippet of what the rest of Scotland has to offer i strongly recommend using Timberbush.
Look forward to visiting Scotland once again👍

Okay experience - Be aware this is not a guided tour, but rather a shuttle service to three locations. Rosslyn chapel and castle ruins, next stop Melrose Abbey ( which was closed with a metal gate around it), and then the distillery. The driver of the bus was friendly.
