The reviews speak for themselves:
Excellent experience!! - This trip was the highlight of our visit to Scotland! It has a good number of stops, and because the trip is two days, you don’t have to hurry; you can take your time. The biggest reason these were my very favorite days was our excellent guide, Fionn!! Never have I met a guide who knows so much about the country, the history, the environment, actually everything. For those who prefer to stay within the city, the morning rain offers a perfect excuse to dive into Edinburgh’s rich history at the National Museum of Scotland. As the rain taps gently on the museum’s glass roof, lose yourself in the stories of Scotland’s past, from ancient relics to modern marvels.
Afternoon Culinary Adventures
As the rain subsides and the city dries off, it’s time to embark on a culinary journey with the Edinburgh Food Tour. Starting at 12:00 PM, this tour is a feast for the senses, offering a taste of Edinburgh’s hidden culinary gems. Hosted by the passionate and knowledgeable Will, this tour takes you off the beaten path to discover local favorites and unexpected delights.
The tour begins at the National Museum of Scotland and winds through the heart of the city, stopping at The Meadows for a taste of traditional Scottish sausage rolls and other delectable treats. The tour is not just about food; it’s a cultural exploration, offering insights into the city’s vibrant food scene and the stories behind each dish.
A recent review captures the essence of the experience:
What an extraordinary experience! - This was one of the highlights of our trip to Edinburgh. This was a trip that my 12yo son had been wanting to do for 6 years. Will was amazing with him. He catered to his every culinary wish…including his inexplicable desire to try haggis! Surprisingly, my son loved it. The history and exploration of the city made this a great kick-off tour for our trip. Although we found every stop, and there were many, to be unique and delicious, by far the best part was supermarket sweep! (Reviewed at: 2025-04-20)
