Skye - The whole trip was memorable. One of the best tours I've taken. Our tour guide was simply fantastic & kind. We got a great place for our accommodation, although I believe it could be hit or miss due to the B& B availability. Meals there are definitely tricky & reservations are highly recommended (which Viator did a great job of suggesting.) Highly recommend it, this tour gives a great taste of the Highlands, but it's only the tip of the iceberg.

Great tour! Be aware that lodgings may vary considerably, (ours was great). - Our guide Mark was wonderful. He navigated the sometimes crowded or narrow roads with skill and ease. He entertained us with great stories during some of the longer drives and always gave us great background for each stop on our tour. The only caveat I have would be about the lodgings. Ours was wonderful. We, along with 8 others, got rooms in a wonderful hotel in the center of the little town with a bar and restaurant on the first floor and lots of great pubs nearby. Others on our bus stayed in two locations that seemed remote and inconvenient. I assume rooms are assigned as available so your lodging experience will vary. The bus was comfortable and newer. This was a great way to see the Isle of Skye and the Highlands!

Absolutely better than driving ourselves - The trip provided locations and access to places throughout Scotland that simply we would have never been able to find so concisely on our own.

Great Experience - Jim was an excellent tour guide and took us to amazing places. He also knew how to avoid the crowds by arriving at specific times and leaving at specific times. There were many occasions when the location started to get busy right as we were leaving.

Great tour and you'll see more than you expect! - I did this tour on a recent visit to the UK and it was a trip highlight. Euan our guide was fantastic. Very knowledgable, entertaining, friendly and helpful. He absolutely made the tour. Our tour lucked out with the weather and we saw so many incredible things around the highlands and the Isle of Skye on the sunny days. Even when the weather had turned on our final day we still saw a lot. There were plenty of stops and I saw much more than I expected to on the tour, ticking off things I'd wanted to see but wasn't expecting to on this trip. Accommodation was lovely in Portree as well and Euan made sure to recommend good food options at each of our stops. We stopped at lots of places and had enough time to properly explore each one. Didn't feel rushed at all. I highly recommend this tour and booking with Timberbush.

The Best 3 Days of Our Trip - Our 3-day Isle of Skye, The Highlands & Loch Ness Tour led by Andrew T. was simply wonderful. We saw much of the beauty of Scotland in the Isle of Skye, Glencoe, Fort Augustus, and much much more. Andrew T. shared much of the rich history of Scotland, weaving his own personal stories, making us feel closer to the country and its culture. His humor and kindness were cherished over the 3 days we spent with him, and on top of that, his driving was excellent. He went above and beyond to cater to everyone on the tour, making sure we stopped to feed some hairy coos, and giving recommendations on things to try, see, or do in the places we visited. If you book a tour with Timberbush, make your guide aware of anything specific you’d like to see or do, and they will do their best to accommodate. Timberbush was also excellent in arranging accommodations for us in Portree, putting us in the center of town so we could easily walk everywhere. Sometimes it felt like we didn’t have quite enough time to see everything at our own leisure, but it was not an issue to us, as we were still able to see so much in just 3 days. I highly recommend Timberbush if you’re looking for tours in Scotland.

Very disappointed! - If you like 10 hour driving days, incorrect accommodations and a company that can’t admit they are wrong, then this is the company and tour for you. In spite of a wonderful guide, Donald , who went to bat for us, Timberbush would not give us any refund for the mistake they made in booking our B&B. Traveling with my 15 year old grandson , I requested a twin bedded room for him and my husband to share and a single room for me. We were given 2 double bedded rooms, meaning my grandson would be staying alone or having to sleep in a double bed with one of us. The rooms were not even on the same floor. We were also booked in an AirB&B instead of a B&B with no host available at any time. Nor were we given the codes for the rooms. It took us a hour to obtain them. Other disappointments included the minimal Continental breakfast, not the typical cooked breakfast we always received at other B& Bs and no shade on the window …in a country with 18 hours of daylight. After 4 phone calls to Timberbush and a day not knowing where we would sleep, we were finally offered a room with 3 single beds over the busiest and loudest bar in Portree on a Saturday night. Things happen. People are human. It’s how you handle a mistake that shows your character and the mentality of a company. Apparently Timberbush has a lot to learn in the customer satisfaction department. I won’t be booking another of their tours. If you’re smart, you won’t either. A 5 star tour company? I don’t think so. Don’t get me wrong. Donald was great. It’s the company that was the problem!
