You might already know that J.K. Rowling wrote Harry Potter in Edinburgh, and on this special Harry Potter Walking Tour we’ll show you which sites were her inspiration for Hogwarts and the characters who dwelled within its magical walls.
See where Diagon Alley came to life, and where Lord Voldemort is buried, see the original Hogwarts school, as well as a virtual school assembly of its characters, and learn how Edinburgh’s own dark history of witches and wizards played a role in inspiring Rowling herself.

A MUST DO!!!! - Oh my gosh, SARAH WAS THE BEST!!!! She knew all the tidbits and stories that I loved to hear! She knew so much about not only HP, but Edinburgh and all the little nuances of the city and how it all connects. I found this tour absolutely facinating!! I am newer to the HP fandom, but I still was able to learn SO much! I espceidally loved the stories Sarah knew about Greyfriars Bobby and how that connects to the books. I won't spoil it for you.. GO DO THIS!!!

Great tour - Tour guide was quirky and knowledgeable! Really enjoyed the tour. Only criticism was difficulty finding the meeting point as it doesn’t seem to exist as a number on high street, should change!

A thoroughly enjoyable experience for all Potterheads!!!! - Our guide Callum. He was so fun, knowledgeable, and entertaining! He pointed out so many interesting places pertaining to JK Rowling and how these places inspired the Harry Potter series. Greyfriars was incredible especially in the late afternoon light… or lack there of.
