• Edinburgh - Our driver will pickup at the Edinburgh location of your choice and we will start our journey here.
• Dean Village - First stop is Dean Village, where you can take a photo on Dean’s Bridge designed by Thomas Telford. This town was created to be an escape from the hustle and bustle of city life whilst still being located in the city.
• Fettes College - One of the private boarding schools, said to be the inspiration behind Hogwarts
• Stewart’s Melville College - One of the private boarding schools said to be the inspiration for Hogwarts.
• Queensferry Crossing - We will now venture out to South Queensferry to view the three bridges that connect us to the Kingdom of Fife.

Rail Bridge was the first of the 3 bridges, built in 1890.
Forth Road Bridge built in 1964 and was the fourth longest in the world at the time.
Queensferry Crossing built in 2017 at 1.7 miles. It’s the longest three-tower cable-stayed bridge in the world

• Rosslyn Chapel - Rosslyn Chapel, which was built by the St Clair’s. This is one of the most beautiful chapels in Scotland where you can marvel at the architecture. Famous for featuring in the Da Vinci Code movie.
• Craigmillar Castle - Craigmillar Castle is a ruined medieval castle in Edinburgh, Scotland. Mary Queen Of Scot’s once stayed here, and this is the location where her husband was poisoned to death.
• Sheep Heid Inn Edinburgh - The Sheep Heid Inn is famously known as the oldest surviving public house in Scotland having been established in 1360.

The perfect stop for some lunch

• Grassmarket - We’ll walk through the Grassmarket to Victoria Street. With its unusual shape and collection of quirky shops, its often said to be the inspiration of Diagon Alley in the Harry Potter series. JK Rowling wrote most of the books while living here in Edinburgh and took inspiration from all around her.
• Greyfriars Bobby - Greyfriars Bobby is a very famous dog in Scotland. He was a Skye Terrier who became known in the 19th century for (as legend has it) spending 14 years guarding the grave of his owner, until his own death on 14 January 1872.
• Edinburgh Castle - Edinburgh Castle is a historic castle in Edinburgh, Scotland, that stands on Castle Rock. This is the most besieged castle in the UK. Inside the grounds you’ll find St Margaret’s Chapel, which the oldest building in Edinburgh from 836.
• St Giles’ Cathedral - St Giles’ Cathedral, or the High Kirk of Edinburgh, is a parish church of the Church of Scotland. The late Queen Elizabeth lay in state here. In the Cathedral you will find the Knights of the Thistle Chapel, the most high and noble order.
• Palace of Holyroodhouse - The Palace of Holyroodhouse, commonly referred to as Holyrood Palace or Holyroodhouse, is the official residence of the British monarch in Scotland.
• Arthur’s Seat - Arthur’s Seat is an ancient volcano which is the main peak of the group of hills in Edinburgh, Scotland, which form most of Holyrood Park.
• Calton Hill - Calton Hill is the best viewpoint in the whole of Edinburgh, where you can see both the Old and New town. Great way to end the tour.
• Edinburgh - To complete the tour our driver will drop you back off at your Edinburgh drop of location.

We will drive back to Edinburgh for your drop off which is a 1 hour drive back over the queensferry crossing

The driver will make stops at all destinations for the group to explore and will share local facts and history. All tours are customizable, so if you prefer to spend more time at certain locations or skip some stops, that’s perfectly fine.

Entry fees are not included, but they are not mandatory. You can still explore the grounds and take photos if you choose not to enter all locations. Please inform your guide when they contact you before the tour.
