During this unique 4-hour walking journey, your guide, David, will introduce you to the city as seen from a local’s viewpoint, assisting you in accomplished stunning and compelling images of Edinburgh that you might not be able to locate or stumble upon on your own. As you journey, David will illustrate the remarkable heritage and culture of Edinburgh.
Any kind of smartphones and cameras are suitable for the tour, and there will be plenty of handy travel photography advice shared throughout. The exploration entails approximately 3 miles. Discover the city through the eyes of a local!
- Not recommended for anyone with foot injuries or related problems. We cover approx 1.8 miles on foot requiring a reasonable level of fitness. Please bring comfortable shoes, a sun-hat, sunscreen and water.

A Wonderful Edinburgh Afternoon! - We booked this tour for the first day of our week in Edinburgh. David provided a truly enthusiastic and warm welcome to his beautiful city which set the tone for the rest of our week. He was a wealth of knowledge and highlighted many fascinating details which would have been easily overlooked, giving us a deep appreciation of his city's rich heritage. His photography advice helped to "train my eyes" and appreciate fantastic details of this visually captivating city, prompting me to return to many of the locations later in our visit.
This tour is a great balance of the history and beauty of this city. We highly recommend this tour as an introduction to Edinburgh.

The Best Tour I’ve Ever Booked - David was the best tour guide I’ve ever had the pleasure of booking. Not only was he supremely knowledgeable about the history of Edinburgh, he was also so enthusiastic to share it with us. The photography tips he shared were just a cherry on top. We had an awesome time walking all around Edinburgh exploring the must-see sights and hidden gems. Best photographer guide - We had such a great afternoon with David! He is an excellent guide, very knowledgeable and passionate about the history of the city as well as photography. He taught us great way of improving or photography, technically but also emotionally. Perfect Tour! - David is an incredible tour guide! He is highly motivated and extremely knowledgeable about this beautiful city. His passion is infectious and he went above and beyond for our tour. Amazing Edinburgh Afternoon! - While our afternoon with David was 7 months ago, we relive our adventures with him often! We met with him on our second day in Edinburgh so we benefitted from his amazing wealth of knowledge about his city for our next 5 days there. While he took us to well known places, we ventured to less highlighted spots where we learned quite a few photography tricks. While we had a Sony RX100VIII, we primarily used our iPhones. I particularly enjoyed learning to take photos of ceilings with the "trick" that David shared with us. You will see the ceilings of the Thistle Chapel, National Bank of Scotland, and Stirling Castle (chapel) that I've attached. David's suggestions of restaurants and other places to visit and explore filled our remaining days in Edinburgh. We plan to return this spring!

Absolutely great - Se had a wonderfull Time , beautifull sites visits, vert knowleagebals explanations, m’y husband And myself discovered Edinburgh oins depth , corners And détails From a professionnal could give us . This is the tour you’re looking for! - David has love for the country and passion to share it and his talents for photography. He was beyond brilliant showing us places we would have missed, and teaching us how to better take meaningful photos. If I could recommend any tour it would be this one. We will definitely come back to explore, and definitely be looking for David. Hands down the best tour we have ever been on. His extra time with us was so appreciated!
