Cheese Lover Excellence - A superb couple of hours of cheese tasting in Stockbridge, Edinburgh with the wonderful tour guide Xander. We visited three of Stockbridge’s most eminent cheese mongers and tried a variety of new and trusted cheese types. Xander was a great tour guide - knowledgeable about his cheese as well as engaging with the group. I’d recommend this tour for any tourist with a love for cheese but as an opportunity to see another side of Edinburgh.

A fun, creative, and different tour—tasty, too! - Great tour! We chose this on a lark as we have plenty of pub crawls and ghost tours under our belt. Xander, our guide, was great—personable, informative, and fun. Cheeses were excellent, and we enjoyed finishing in a small park with cheeses and wine; essentially our own little picnic. Xander also conducts history and Harry Potter tours, so had a wealth of advice and info for things to see and do while in Edinburgh. Highly recommend this tour as it is off the beaten path and a fun, creative diversion from the standard tour fare.

Cheese taste tour - Really interesting tour giving an incite into lots of different cheeses that we have never heard of or tasted. The guide chose a great selection of cheese and was very knowledgeable about the cheese and Scottish history. Well worth it.

Not great value for money - Our guide Xander was lovely and very knowledgeable about the cheese and the history behind the cheese makers. However, we felt for 4 x £35 to walk around three shops, stand outside of one to taste 1 lot of cheese and sitting in the park eating little chunks of cheese and drinking wine out of plastic glasses was not good value for money, nor was it comfortable. We were expecting a little more - like a seat in a warm room to be served some cheese and drink wine from a proper wine glass. A bit disappointed at the experience that was made easier by our guide as he was friendly and interesting to speak to.

First: be aware, this... - First: be aware, this happens outdoor. You stand on the street, comes rain or shine, and eat some cheese. You can't even visit the shops properly. The cheese wasn't too remarkable and not from Scotland, you learn next to nothing about cheese. You better go to a cheese shop and ask the Sales-Person for some recommendations, buy a bottle of wine and eat at home. That would be cheaper, better and more comfortable. The tour was totally overpriced.
