Very informative tour - Naomi was very friendly and knowledgeable about the castles history and I am very glad we did the tour. However we had to meet half way down the Royal Mile and when we set off Naomi said to meet in front of the castle, I did think it would have made sense to meet in front of the castle in the first instance as the taxi could have dropped us there rather than at the meeting point, I have problems with my foot so it would have been helpful. The tour itself was very good.

Brilliant guide! - Jule was our guide today and she was brilliant. Very engaging and informative. She was able to make a lot of information accessible and entertaining. Throughout the tour, she made a point to check in with everyone to see how we were getting on and she was friendly, full of interesting stories. It was clear that she really enjoys her job and the subject. The tour has to start on the Royal Mile, which is a shame because it would have been better to make our way up the hill at our own pace, but that's nobody's fault as it's the castle's rules for tours not being able to gather on the esplanade. Jule did make us all feel comfortable with the long hill, saying she'd wait at the top and wouldn't start without anyone and not to worry about having a break. Having such a great guide really makes a difference.

Great tour with great guide (Julie) - Very interesting tour with excellent guide Julie. Great way to see the castle and learn the ins and outs of the different parts. Weather was poor, but Julie did a great job of guiding us through it and keeping us together and informed throughout. Highly recommend!
