Well worth while - James wasted no time with a warm introduction and a beer in our hands while we descended into the lower area of the buildings indicative of a long lost busy town street. The stories of beer evolution and old Edinburgh history were a perfect mix and the hour went very quickly. They’ve put some thought and effort into this and I’m sure it will continue to evolve into a significant tourist attraction!

Amazing beer tasting - would highly recommend. - We came for my partner's birthday. As he doesn't like whisky, I booked for us to do the beer tasting instead. It was great. The location is truly unique and the tour guide was super knowledgeable about both beer and the history. Even better, as no one else was booked onto the tour, we had a more personalised experience. We would highly recommend for anyone who likes beer and is looking for something more unique than walking around a brewery!

A memorable evening - Despite living in Edinburgh, I'd never heard of The Lost Close until friends bought me a voucher for the beer tasting session. Three of us went along and had as good a time as can be had in a stone cellar in December. Padge was a fun, amiable host who put all the visitors at ease and we enjoyed 5 different samples over the course of an hour. Padge graciously then spent another hour in the small bar chatting and serving drinks as we got to know the other visitors. There are also gin tours and whisky tours available, so we'll certainly be back.

Informative and Delicious! - We thoroughly enjoyed our beer tasting session at the Lost Close! It was very informative and enjoyable with four different beers to try, all very different and interesting. It was also good to see the local breweries products being used as well as unique beer variations and flavours. Would highly recommend!

Super fun and informative- really recommend! - Had an amazing experience, more than we could have expected! Our guide James was very informative and hilarious. The location was so cool and we had a great time. Couldn't recommend more!!!!

Tasty Time! - I am not a big beer fan so was unsure about this tour that my sister had wanted to take. I was totally surprised at how much I enjoyed myself. Meeting other travelers and chatting over beer was great fun and George was an excellent guide. He carefully explained the difference between the 5 beers that we were given to taste, how they were brewed and the subtleties of flavor. What a great way to end our stay in London!

Highly recommended - Sarah was the most fabulous guide...her knowledge and humour were fab. I would highly recommend this tour! We sampled 6 different beers so came away quite merry ha ha!

Learned a lot! - My wife and I had a great time, learned a lot about beer I don’t know and had some good beer! Small group and a unique location.
