Initiation\n\nThis is the initial course level in the APPI Education System for paragliding. The learner is taught the basics of laying out and managing the paraglider on the ground, also known as ‘Ground Skimming’. They also experience their first independent flight. At this stage, the learner may fly SOLELY with radio guidance and under the watchful eye of a certified Instructor.
