Highlights
  • Hotel Pyhätunturi - Not a snowshoe nor a traditional long back country ski – but a cross-breed with best of the both worlds. A wide, short, agile ski makes it easy to travel across thick snowfields. No previous skiing experience required for enjoying gliding across the puffy snowfields. Exploring Arctic forest was never so easy and effortless!

The Classic Wilderness Skiing Tour lasts two and half hours. The tour can and will be tailored based on the clients’ request. Guide will give a knowledgeable presentation about the Arctic nature and the old Lappish beliefs.

Altai ski is a short, easy-to-use forest ski that combines the best features of a snowshoe. With a partial climbing skin integrated into the base, the ski climbs with ease. The skin also makes the ski slower and easier to control than traditional skis. The ski’s short, wide design makes it incredibly maneuverable, ideal for thick woods and variable terrain, a truly all-purpose backcountry tool.

Well we come again :-) - With my 14 years old teenager, we had so funny and great hours with this activity :-) The skis are a mix of different kind of skis as we know them in the alps: more or less --> short, easy to ride and fun. The landscape was very nice and the guide super. He explained us a lot about the aera; we really liked it. We can recommand this activity 100% such also as all the others. We ice-climbed, we rided e-fatbike on snow ( really cool :-)) Bliss Adventure is very professional and exprimented.

Awesome experience! - We had an amazing time with Tiina, our guide, who brought us to beautiful views we had all to ourselves. She was very patient and knowledgeable. We were beginners and she adjusted the skill level for us, at the same time explaining things about the animals, vegetation and local geology. 10/10 :)

Joyful day out in the National Park on Altai Skis. - Bliss Adventures do exactly what is implied in the name - they take you on adventures that leave nothing but a smile on your face. Our family of 6 were led on a wonderful day out on skis in Pyha-Luosto National Park by Artturi. We were a family of different abilities and ages (some of us have skied before, some hadn't, and our parents are in their 60s). Artturi made the experience special for all of us. He was patient, kind, and particularly accomodating toward my mom who was especially nervous being on skis for the first time. His passion for the region and for the outdoors is evident, and he shared many stories of the wilderness with us as we glided across the soft snow. Skiing through unbroken snow in Altai skis is a really enjoyable experience, completely suitable even for those without any skiing experience. We found it more enjoyable to snowshoeing in some ways. All in all, highly recommend this activity with Bliss and would highly recommend Bliss Adventure as an activity provider for a trip to Pyha.

Amazing Artic adventure! - Best experience ever! Tiina was amazing. The day previous to our trip, Arturi and Tiina helped us with the clothing and equipment. Arturi was so so nice providing us with the clothing. I think he did above and beyond to make sure we had everything tnecessary to have a wonderful experience. Our guide Tiina was wonderful and very professional. The first day they picked us up where we were staying and the starting point was the National Park car park. Even though we had zero skiing experience Tiina provided us with an induction and gave us time to practice, she also gave us useful tips along the way in order to improve our skiing technique. During the trip she taught us about Finish nature, survival techniques and how to navigate with our surroundings. We not only enjoyed the experience but also learnt so much. Tiina has lots of knowledge and was always happy to share it. The landscape was out of this world. We had lots of delicious and nutritious food, Tiina definitively made sure that we were well fed and pampered. The cabin was fabulous and much more luxurious than expected! We had a typical Finish Sauna with not one but two rolling in the snow refreshers :) We also had a lovely fire with cosy seats made out of snow! And more delicious food under the stars and Tiina teaching us about constellations. The following day after sleeping like babies we made our return. Seriously one of the most amazing experiences we have ever done and would definitively repeat cross country skiing again! Arturi and Tiina are amazing people. Even the day after they helped us to print our boarding passes. Finish people are so nice! Thanks Tiina and Arturi! Leidy and Simon 🙂

Fabulous new snow activity, beautiful scenery, genuine, friendly host - We thoroughly enjoyed our first ever Wilderness experience. We met our guide Sampo and the location was easy to find. Sampo was friendly, knowledgeable about nature and shared lots of interesting facts as well as his delicious berry juice at just the right moment. We started at 2:30pm and it was already getting dark so we were a bit worried we wouldn’t be able to see where we were going but our eyes adjusted easily and the snow meant that the light was eerie and beautiful. We had a good workout with the ski walk and would highly recommend to anyone who loves to be outdoors with nature.

Really Great Day - We had a great day out with the guides who were very professional, friendly and very knowledgeable about the activity and the nature in the national park. Scenery if stunning and when we were not laughing at each other falling over, the quietness of the forest is something you must experience. Thankyou and we look forward to coming back again.

Excellent arctic wilderness skiing experience - Great wilderness skiing experience with Hannele and Claudia at Bliss Adventures in mid-January. Beautiful winter wilderness landscape and overnight stay in rustic but very comfortable log cabin. Remote and undisturbed but at the same not too strenuous and appropriate for beginner/intermedia level skiers. Excellent organization and guiding. Highly recommended.
