On our guided intimate group journey, you’ll explore the area’s rich cultural tapestry through its gastronomy - get to understand Asian culinary traditions, table manners and get acquainted with crucial ingredients and methods of preparation. Your tour will consist of visiting eateries, bakeries, and grocery stores to savour a variety of scrumptious Asian dishes.

Food, food and food. - A great tour, I was a little sceptical when I booked not really knowing what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. Loved our guide Thu who was absolutely fantastic, passionste with plenty of knowledge of the local area and a delight to chat with. There was more than enough food for our small group of 11 and my wife and I actually took home our dessert as we couldn't fit in any more food!
Definitely recommend and thanks again to Thu for a great afternoon.

Fantasic Food Tour - Great food tour with our amazing guide Thu. Went to some new restaurants and tried food we wouldn't normally order. Thu was very informative and spoke about each of the countries/cuisines we tried. So much food which all tasted amazing. Fabulous day & tour.

Wonderful Asian foodie walk - Fantastic guide & a glorious slice of Vic Pk cuisine I’d never tried (other than the cheese tarts) even though I’ve lived in the area for 25 years. Our guide was excellent & extremely knowledgeable about the restaurants & the food they served. She also regaled us with snippets of information about Vietnamese culture particularly around food. Loved it & & so did my 11 year old foodie granddaughter. Five stars

A fantastic tour - so many little gems discovered! - I went on this walking tour with 3 friends and we had a great time! We go out together often but our foodie guide Thu found us some great new places. She was a very knowledgeable and friendly. The amount of food was very generous and each place gave us a different experience. We were all full by the end. The walking was easy and the pace was just right. We actually had reserved seating at all of the places and they were all expecting us and well prepared with the generous offerings and plenty of time to enjoy them. Being a small group tour, we got to know everyone. I would highly recommend this tour.
There is still a lot more to explore just in that street so I am hoping Up Close and Local Tours do a part 2 of this tour - I would be there for sure.

Progressive lunch tour of Asian restaurants in Vic Park - Victoria Park walking Asian food tour
Our guide was awesome. He provided us with helpful hints and background of Asian food, fun facts and knowledge of Vic Park and the restaurants.
The selection of restaurants was diverse and we had good time at each venue.
We'd love to do another tour of different restaurants in future. The concept of light meals and snacks made it a progressive lunch.

Amazing Afternoon of Fabulous Food - Asian Street Food Tour
A perfect day for an absolutely fantastic tour.
CC was our knowledgable guide who guided us through the afternoon with witty anecdotes. All of the venues we visited were well prepared for the tour with generous servings at each stop. The food choices were extensive and catered to a wide range of palates. Surprisingly there was too much food which is unusual for these kind of experiences. Outstanding value for money.

Asian food tour - I did the Asian food tour in East Victoria Park. Such generous food servings & a very good range of things to try at many locations during the day. The guide CC was knowledgeable & wanted to ensure everyone had a great day.

Yummy interesting tour - Enjoyed the variety of cuisines - Indian, Japanese, Malaysian, looked thru a Asian grocery store and went to two dessert places. The tour guide Kaylee was very knowledgeable and friendly. Our only negative was that the dessert places could have been cut down to just one and one where you could have sat and had a tea or coffee as we were very full by then and two lots of dessert was just too much.
I thought I didn't like Japanese food but enjoyed both dishes we had there.
Definitely recommend doing this tour.

A tastey Spicey treat - A group of 11 friends had a fun half day out on the Asian street food tour
A guide was Kalling,a knowledgeable nice young lady who guided us on of tour office park ,with fun facts about the cuisine and venues.
All the venues were very friendly with tasty bites from different cuisines
Our group of over 40”s all enjoyed. Different aspects of the progressive lunch and venues ,
My favourite was the beef randang and the sweet treats from the bakers
This is our not our 1st tour with Up close and local,having done the bbq tour twice ,and the breakfast walking tour . As always we were not disappointed.
Our only gripe was that on a near 40 degree day eating hot Spivey food was that one venue had no fans or working aircon ,but this never dampened our day
