Amazing - The Sky Explorer ride was fantastic, but the zip line ride down was absolutely amazing! If you're looking for an adrenaline-pumping activity in St. Maarten, this is it. The views, the speed, everything was just perfect. Worth every penny!

The Thrill Seekers Thing to do in St Maarten - Came here on a recent cruise which ported in St Maarten. This is our second time on the island and is probably the best thing to do if you are more of a thrill seeker. We transferred in a couple of coaches, transfer took about 40 mins. Somehow we got ourselves to the front of the queue which was a blessing - because we came in a large group, those at the back had a lot of waiting for everyone else, so if you can come alone, it will speed up your day. We put our stuff in the lockers ($5 extra) and got on the skyride, which is the chairlift ride to the ziplines. This took about 20 -30 mins, at no point are you significantly above the ground, great views all the way, with the occasional pause for seemingly no reason. We were met at the top and equipped with ziplining gear, then a short uphill walk to the first of 4 ziplines. By this point we were alone, just the Little Lady and myself, so they dealt with us quickly, again if your in a larger group they send you all across, then all back, lots of waiting in the unsheltered Caribbean sun. Zips come in pairs, across then back, all probably 80m I guess. Did the first two, another short walk, then next two and your back at the equipment area. Zips were good but not the fastest, if the wind is against you, lighter people might get stuck and need rescuing, so we were told, but no issues for us. Then there was another chairlift to the top where the Dutchman was. Here, there were several viewing points and a bar for refreshments. Views from up here were outstanding, worth doing the whole thing just for the view. We put our name down for the ride, but there was no queue. I had left my wallet in the locker, which was bad advice, we couldn't get a drink, so we did the main ride. You get strapped in on a seat, I felt really safe, whole ride is about 45 seconds, you do feel your travelling fast, but enough time to take you hands off, look around, take it all in and enjoy. At the bottom, we were quickly unstrapped, then it was back on the chairlift to go up halfway for two tube slide rides each. The attendant was asleep when we arrived and not really expecting any work, seemed miffed he had to sort us out. No tipping therefore required. Tubes were fun though, and you get a welcomed, light water spray to help cool you off. After both rides. we went back to our lockers and to look at the pics the park had taken of us. Disappointingly, several were missing and there were a couple of complete strangers. Not sure if I wanted a pic of a random family sat on a chairlift. It was expensive (about $40) to get the video of the Dutchman ride, but it was a one-off experience, and we thought worth getting. That was a kerfuffle. The first bus was in about 40 mins, so thought beer and coke were in order from the cafe, but disappointingly, it was closed. Was advertised as a 6.5 hour round trip, we were done in the park in less than 2, plus transfer time, but others were much longer.

Rohan went above and beyond - Great fun! Rohan went above and beyond when he went up the mountain and found a cell phone that our friend dropped while on the lift up the mountain! Great customer service!!!

beware long lines/wait - The flying dutchman experience was fun BUT there were lines to get on the chairlift (very slow, views ok) then there was a 2 hour wait to actually do the zip line down the hill. There is a bar a beautiful views but we were with kids so not doing that.

Great experience BUT way too long waiting time / inflexible - We booked a visit with cable car and FlyingDutchman (as part of a cruise). Transfer was not offered, but thanks to many taxi at the port was no problem. Arrive on site at 11:20 a.m. - the ticket read “just come between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.”. Waiting time at the cable car, about 20 minutes. Ride up very nice. Registration at the FlyingDutchman around 12:15 p.m. It's been 3 3/4 hours before we got to it!!! Far too much time wasted, especially for cruisers! IT'S ABSOLUTELY NOT CRUISER FRIENDLY! Others have almost missed their departure, despite repeated requests and hints nothing has been changed. Others who came later were strangely let through faster (whether that was because of their generous tips?!) Photos and videos are offered, but are much too expensive at $10/20. The experience was really nice, but the long wait and the stress in this regard clouded it a lot. Very bad

The place was closed - We purchased this in advance. Received an email two days before the date on how to dress comfortably. We showed up yesterday (the scheduled date) and the place was closed. Received another email last night after we should have had the experience telling us they were closed and for us to contact them to reschedule. This morning, we received a review request. They need to fix their process. They lost $500 from us.
