Your journey begins at this refurbished plantation estate, originally constructed in the 1700s. The Museum narrates the stirring tale of Trace Wilson, who was enslaved on this property in 1818, and her direct kin, Emilio Wilson. You’ll get visual narratives of plantation life, gaining insights into the rites, traditions, way of life, and narratives that gave Sint Maarten its moniker ‘The Friendly Island.’
Following a short introduction, climb aboard the Sky Explorer for a roughly 25-minute journey to the zenith of Sentry Hill, the tallest point in St. Maarten at 1,125 feet. The apex is surrounded by a series of platforms offering panoramic views of the entire island, as well as stunning views of neighboring islands such as Saba, St. Eustatius, St. Barts, and Anguilla.
