• National Museum of Antiquities - The museum proudly showcases artifacts from the Eneolithic and Bronze Age, originating from the agricultural settlement of Sarazm, a site recognized on the UNESCO World Heritage list. Unique finds from the Hellenistic period, excavated at the Oxus Temple site in Takhti Sangin along the Amu Darya River, include a portrait of Alexander the Great depicted as Hercules, the Akinakes scabbard, a plate illustrating hunting scenes, and other ivory masterpieces of global art. These discoveries from the Oxus Temple exemplify the fusion of local and ancient Greek cultures. The museum also features wall paintings from ancient Penjikent (5th – 7th century), which are part of the Golden Fund of world culture. Visitors from around the globe, especially Buddhists, are drawn to the “Buddha in Nirvana,” a nearly 13-meter clay statue, one of the largest ancient Buddhist monuments worldwide.

• Statue of Ismoil Somoni - Situated in the heart of Dushanbe, this statue is central to both the capital and all of Tajikistan. Known locally as the “monument of Ismail Somoni” or “Park Somoni,” it honors the founder of the Tajik state, Ismail Somoni. The 13-meter high monument is a prominent feature of Dusti Square, topped by a beautiful arch over 43 meters high. The monument symbolizes key elements of Tajik statehood: a crown and scepter adorned with seven stars.

• Mosque - The Central Mosque of Dushanbe is the largest mosque in Tajikistan and one of the largest in Central Asia. It can host up to 120,000 people for large events, with the mosque itself accommodating around 25,000. The complex includes several prayer halls, a library, a museum, an outdoor courtyard, and four minarets reaching nearly 250 feet high.

• Mehrgon Market - Mehrgon Bazar is a modern food market in Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan, which opened in September 2014. The market spans approximately 30,000 square meters.
