Full day tour of 7 lakes in Tajikistan from Samarkand - If you want to stay in Samarkand, you can easily go on tour to Tajikistan. Hotel pickup, Samarkand side driver to the border, walk across the border The Tajik side guides and drivers He'll be waiting for me. Dill, the female guide, is friendly. For explaining information about Tajikistan. It was fun. It was also interesting to drive in the mountains while driving off-road. There is no need to hike or walk, so anyone can join. I was very satisfied with the superb view. I recommend it.

Tadjikistan at one glance - The driver picked me up from my hotel on time, so after picking up the other two guests we also made the journey to the border control (approx. 1 hour). There were no problems on either side. The guide (Bibi) for my tour was waiting for me on the Tajik side. She and the driver took me to the first of the 7 lakes (takes about 25 minutes), where there was the first photo stop. Then we went through all the other lakes, Bibi explained everything in detail and also explained some ancient connections. She also complied with my request for a souvenir store. The tour in Tajikistan took about 5 hours. All in all, breathtakingly beautiful landscapes, unfortunately the car had no air conditioning and it was very dusty on the way, so you can't have the windows open in the extreme heat. Nevertheless, a big recommendation from me. Translated with DeepL.com (free versio

Beautiful tour into a spectacular mountain world. - Pick up from the hotel shortly after 8am and drive to the border (modern vehicle, safe driver, three guests). On foot it crossed the border without any problems, you are prepared for day tourists here and get through quickly, as an EU citizen even without a visa. In Tajikistan we continued with guide (English, Russian) and driver, initially still on good roads, which quickly became a rough slope when we went into the mountains. The road quickly becomes adventurous but the driver knows his way around and we always felt safe. It goes through tiny mountain villages higher and higher into the mountains along the 7 lakes. On the one hand, the ride itself is a highlight but of course the lakes also impress with their diversity, sometimes squeezed slenderly between steep rock faces only to then empty back into a wide delta. With mountains partly covered in snow in the background and the blue sky that is too typical for the region, the lakes sometimes form impressive motifs. I can recommend the tour to anyone who wants to take a look at this remote mountain world.

Amazing day trip - This is an amazing day trip! They paired me with other solo travellers which lowered the cost and provided travel buddies. We were picked up at 8:30am and drove to the border close by where we exchanged some money and crossed on foot. On the other side our guide and driver were waiting for us in a nice mini van. Our guide was Parvina and she’s super kind and I learned soooo much from her! She talked about the history of the region, the food and agriculture, the different cities and villages and just so much! We stopped at a market and got some delicious samsa’s and drove up to the 7-lakes. The roads are unpaved and the driver was very skilled navigating them. We stopped at each lake and admired its unique beauty and Parvina told us the name and what each lake is known for and just chatted in general about life in Tajikistan. The lakes and mountains are very very beautiful and absolutely worth the trip to see. It was an excellent day exploring a new country’s beautiful landscapes and learning so much from the wonderful Parvina! Highly recommend this tour
