We have comfortable cruiser bicycles with wide saddles and high handle bars so guests can take a leisurely cruise along the 7km stretch that this the Durban Promenade.
The promenade is a wide, smooth, safe and pedestrianised expanse to cruise along. Guests can enjoy a comfortable 14km round trip cruising alongside the Indian Ocean on Durban’s world class promenade. There are various cafes and restaurants along the promenade to stop at and enjoy a refreshment.
Guests can cycle 1km south to the Durban Harbour entrance and enjoy watching the ships come cruising into and out of the port. From there take a cycle up to 6km north passing the beautiful Moses Mabhida Stadium and continuing to the end of the promenade where the Umgeni River flows into the Indian Ocean.
We have tandem bicycles, bicycles with baby seats as well as children’s bicycles.
Guests can leave any bags and valuables in lockers at no extra charge.

There is no where else in South Africa where you can rent a bicycle and cruise along a pedestrianised 7km stretch taking in the magnificent vista of the ocean.
Durban is a surf city and you’ll cycle alongside some of South Africa’s top surfing destinations such as New Pier. You can even cycle out along the pier and take a good look at the surfers in action!
Comfort is everything! Cycle shorts are not required for this experience. We have comfortable saddles to make cruising a pleasure.
We are situated directly on the Durban Promenade so guests can collect a bicycle and get on their way. The promenade is one long stretch and very simple to navigate. Most importantly, the promenade is very safe and free from any motorised traffic.
