- Dunedin Railway Station - You will be amazed at this architecture - the 2nd most photographed building in NZ. Full of porcelain and Royal Doulton - its definitely a picture not to be missed
- Otago Peninsula - Travel over the high road enroute to the Castle. This high road allows for fantastic views and photos and we will ensure you all get a photo of you at our favourite stopping point. The Peninsula is a narrow windy piece of land so bring a sweater!
- Larnach Castle & Gardens - Visit NZs only Castle Larnach Castle. You will arrive and be dropped to the door like royalty. Youl will have a chance to wander the gardens, take in the home and visit the ballroom

Dunedin day trip - Dunedin & Larnach Castle Day Trip – A Truly Memorable Experience
What an incredible day exploring Dunedin and the majestic Larnach Castle! From start to finish, the trip was seamless:
• Exceptional Guide Care: Our guide was a true gentleman—always on hand to help me on and off the minibus and patiently waiting (alongside a kind American couple) as I navigated the world’s steepest street at my own pace. Even with a 30-minute delay on the return journey, the team’s support never wavered.
• Stunning Sights: Dunedin’s historic architecture and sweeping coastal panoramas took my breath away, and Larnach Castle’s ornate gardens and rich backstory were every bit as enchanting as I’d hoped.
• Delicious Local Lunch: I opted for the classic fish & chips—crispy, fresh, and perfectly paired with lemon. I heard the chowder was more of a starter than a full meal, but my lunch left me both satisfied and energized for the afternoon’s adventures.
All in all, I can’t recommend this day trip highly enough for anyone visiting Dunedin. From attentive hospitality to awe-inspiring views, it’s the perfect way to experience the best of the region in just one day!

Better than expected for our first none CruiseLine tour booking. - This was our first experience booking a tour not provided by the Cruise Line. Great experience. Everything worked out as indicated and the local operator did a fantastic job of introducing us to our first on land experience of New Zealand. Lots to see on the tour and about perfect timing for all the off-coach activities.

Unmissable TOUR - So much included in this tour ,LOTS of information during tour. So much more included - stops on the way to CASTLE. and lunch. Guide very informative (Jason) . Castle and grounds beautiful. Lovely restoration, Great information on Lanarch family history and tomb

Great tour!!! - Was easy to find tour guides our guild was great she knew how to beat the crowds and not have us show up at all the places with a lot of Peyton fight to see everything.lunch was very nice. Great chance to get to know everyone on the tour. Saw All the highlights and brought back to the ship area.

Nice overview for a day trip. - Nice overview of Dunedin and Ortega. You see the major highlights of each place. Lanarch Castle is worth the visit for the beautiful views alone.

The iconic and historic... - The iconic and historic railroad station was excellent, Lark Castle was a disappointment. A very nice large house with very old furnishings. Not really a castle except in architecture only.
