A great fun and informative tour - Dianne our tour guide was excellent. Very informative and also fun. She made it a very enjoyable tour. We learned a lot and had a few laughs. Sasha was also very good. The 10 and 12 year old samples where very good.

Malt masters tour - Recently did the Malt masters tour and was a fantastic experience. Our guide was Vivienne and she was very knowledgeable and interesting. There were another 2 people on our tour and she made time for us all answering all questions. Ive lost my sense of smell and obviously dont get as much of an experience as others but when Vivienne found this out she tried her best to make it the best she could. We were given a tour and a nip then taken to the Malt masters room. You are given 5 cask strength whiskeys to try and you then have to judge which ones you want to make your bottle. I would recommend the tour to anyone though to do the Malt masters part you really do need to like whisky. We were asked to give our whisky a name but I couldn't think of a suitable one but have settled on Tediidh which is gaelic for Teddy which is my wee boy's name. Thanks again Vivienne for a fantastic tour.

Unforgettable Glengoyne Malt Master Experience with Laura - We visited Glengoyne Distillery on the 8th of August 2025 for the Malt Master Experience, and it truly exceeded all expectations. There were only two of us on the tour, which made it feel extra special, almost like a private experience. Our guide, Laura, was simply outstanding. Her knowledge of Glengoyne’s history, the whisky-making process, and the finer details of the craft was exceptional. She explained everything with warmth, clarity, and genuine passion, making the whole experience come alive. She answered every question with ease, and her enthusiasm was infectious. The whisky blending session was great fun, we each created our own unique 20cl bottle to take home, which made for the perfect keepsake. I’ve toured Glengoyne several times before, and every guide has been excellent, but Laura really stood out for her friendly approach and deep expertise. After the tour, we browsed the shop where the staff were equally knowledgeable and helpful. They guided us to a beautiful bottle to take home. This was a 60th birthday gift for my friend, and he loved every moment. Whether you’re a whisky connoisseur or a first-time visitor, Glengoyne offers a range of tours and experiences that are well worth coming back for. Tip: If you can, book the Malt Master Experience, and if you’re lucky enough to have Laura as your guide, you’re in for a real treat!

Best distillery tour I’ve been on - It’s a traditional distillery and very atmospheric, the staff were great but above all the level of detail and knowledge was impressive

Unique experience - I went on the Master of Malt experience with my father in May, we were lucky enough to have Diane who was very friendly and provided a knowledgeable tour full of surprising facts. We then went into the old manor house and were able to blend our own whisky from our choice of 5 different bottles (all or which were at cask strength). A very fun day out.

Great stop on the west highlands way and way - We stopped there while on our first day of the west highlands way way hike. It was great idea. Very much enjoyed the tour and the tasting at the end. Bought some at the store though only small bottles that would fit in out pack. Really a good intro to Scotland whiskey

Don’t bring kids - This is not suitable for children - or certainly our guide wasn’t. We paid money for the kids to come, nothing was laid on for them and they were seen as a problem from the outset. Would have been simpler just to say no kids
