First Ever Rock Climbing Experience - A massive recommendation from us for Dan. He took our 3 boys (aged 8-10) for their first ever rock climbing experience. He clearly knows every nook and cranny of the area and is passionate / massively experienced in climbing. Everything from start to finish was great and our boys now can’t wait to go again. Fantastic experience at an attractive spot - Daniel explained everything, looked after us, and taught us some basics of rock climbing. We felt very safe. Attractive spot to do something different for a couple of hours. Really great fun!

Highlight of our holiday - The experience was amazing! We were a little apprehensive at first as we had never done it before but Dan had us all up giving it a go and guiding us through everything. He made us feel safe throughout. we also had a fire by the rock because it was cold and we even had a sauna! Definitely recommend to everyone, great time great price

Great time, would love to do it again!!! - Honestly so much fun, I've never actually done rock climbing either but he concisely explained all the steps and made sure everything was safe and we all felt safe, a really sound guy, Dan was super chill and funny, he also had some beautiful dogs with him as well so that was a bonus.

Brilliant adventure on beautiful beach. - What a day! My two sons, my daughter and me; all new to climbing. We came away from a terrific day agreeing that it was one of our best adventures. Great fun, challenging and truly adventurous. All down to Daniel who is not only an expert climber, but a great communicator and a super safe pair of hands. I feel very lucky that I was introduced to this by somebody who got us all up and down again with support and good humour. I doubt if there could be anyone better. My smallest daughter didn’t take part, but was very happy to play on such a beautiful beach with Daniel’s two sheep dogs. 100% recommended. Good food along the coast at the Steamboat too.

Extremely fun and friendly - Daniel was a great instructor and I've never felt more comfortable being belayed. He was extremely friendly and even gave us some tips on where else is nice in the area. Would highly recommend.

excellent - really enjoyed the lesson. we did lots of exciting climbing all thrilling and challenging. very good teacher explaining and directing while making sure we were safe. there was a lovely view of the beach as well and overall a great experience.

Unique rock climbing experience with Daniel - We found Daniel on here and called him on the off chance one weekday August morning - we were in luck as he was able to offer a session that afternoon (and the weather was glorious for a change!). Our two children aged 7 and 10 climbed and it was an amazing experience for them. They have climbed before and tackled three different faces of the rock - Daniel was able to accommodate their differing levels so it was challenging yet enjoyable. The finisher was a Mission Impossible style abseil through the centre of the rock formation - Daniel was brilliant in soothing nerves and making sure we ended on a high! A brilliant instructor, very patient and encouraging, as well as really knowledgable about the area. Powillimount is a beautiful spot so allow time for a picnic and beach combing if you can (or a pint a bite to eat at the nearby Steamboat Inn). Overall - we visit D&G regularly but this has been an undoubted highlight this trip, highly recommended and something we will definitely do again.
