As a former professional athlete, I’ve always been drawn to the thrill of the extreme. So when I heard about the Dubrovnik Zipline soaring above the Adriatic cliffs, I knew it was a challenge I couldn’t resist. My fiancée and I packed our bags and set off on a road trip from Split to Dubrovnik, eager to experience the rush of flying headfirst over the stunning coastline.
Arriving at the site, we were greeted by a simple setup—a sign on the road, a small parking area, and a path leading through gates to a church. It was a no-frills operation, but that only added to the authenticity of the adventure. We followed the wooden signposts through the trees, anticipation building with every step. The lack of toilet facilities was a minor inconvenience, but the breathtaking view more than made up for it.
The Launch

The walk to the launch area was the hardest part, especially in the harness, but the promise of the ride ahead kept us moving. The Flight
Strapped in the superman position, I felt a surge of exhilaration as I launched off the platform. The sensation of flying at speeds up to 100 km/h, with the wind rushing past and the stunning view of Lokrum Island below, was nothing short of breathtaking. The proximity to the forest canopy and steep cliffs added an extra layer of thrill, making it an unforgettable experience.
The ride was over too soon, but the adrenaline lingered long after we touched down. It was easily the highlight of our holiday, and we both agreed we’d do it again in a heartbeat.
