Get off the beaten path - Getting off the beaten path and seeing parts of the country we hadn't seen. The views from the tops of the mountains, seeing the true residential areas of the country, touring a small winery where the owner had tremendous passion for what he did, seeing remnants of the war with Serbia, wondering around in an ancient fortress high on the side of the mountain.

Great tour off the beaten path! - I thoroughly enjoyed my 1/2 day tour with Josip! It was fabulous to take a break from action in the city and enjoy a slower pace while visiting the countryside. Our first stop was in the beautiful coastal town of Cavtat, where we explored the picturesque streets and enjoyed coffee by the sea. After that, we visited the impressive Sokol fortress, perched high on a cliff. It afforded us a spectacular view of the Konavle Valley. Next, we walked along the lush green shores Lutja River. Finally, we stopped at a winery where we were treated to generous samples of local wine. A perfect ending to a great day! Throughout the tour, Josip demonstrated his thorough knowledge of our destinations, and he also kindly shared personal stories. It was a real treat to spend the time with such a knowledgeable, friendly, and engaging local.

Beautiful Cavtat - We wanted to see the vicinity of Dubrovnik and Josip recommended Cavtat and the Konavle district. We started with Cavtat, stunning walk around the peninsula and we had enough time for a coffee on the harbour, we could have stayed for hours! We then headed up the moutains to a beautiful fort, which my daughter very much enjoyed (beautiful views from the top) and finished the tour in a winery where the lovely owner offered us a tasting. Baldo, our guide, was knowledgeable, relaxed and made sure we were comfortable. We really enjoyed our private tour and would highly recommend it.

A great private tour - That was a great private half-day afternoon tour we had with Josip. We saw a very nice small sea town of Cavtat, a famous medieval castle and a very nice park with small brooks and waterfalls. The park has also a very nice restaurant. I wish we could eat there or try some local products or wine but I was with my 10-years old son and he got tired by the end of the tour, so we missed these opportunities. Our guide, Josip, was very friendly, knowledgeable, well-organized and interesting! He even brought me my glasses. I forgot in his car. We learned a lot, saw beautiful nature and really enjoyed our afternoon. It was nice to see something more unique and authentic than very touristy Dubrovnik. I highly recommend this tour and Josip. Josip also organized another tour at the same time for my husband and the elder son to see the memorial devoted to the siege of Dubrovnik on the top of the hill over the city. My husband was very happy about this tour too. Later, a friend of mine also had a tour in Dubrovnik with Josip and liked it a lot. I highly recommend this guide and his agency.
