It was nice - It was fun and informative, the reason it received a lower rating is because there were audio problems, the sound would go out when a bump was hit. Also it was a bugger of a time finding the office to get my ticket validated before getting on the bus. If the driver could just scan my phone that would be much more preferable.

Unprofessional Driver - We used this hop-on, hop-off bus service while in Dublin on September 7 and 8. We chose them because of our good experience with them while visiting San Antonio, TX last year; we will not be using them again after our experience in Dublin. Our first driver and friendly and knowledgeable. However, when we hopped back on at a scheduled stop, we found our second driver rude and indifferent. We sat up top to enjoy the sights, and noticed right away that he did not play the narration as we traveled along the route passing two of the sites. He abruptly pulled off the road, not at a scheduled stop, and we heard loud talking and yelling. We thought perhaps there was a dispute with a customer. We sat for at least 10 minutes with the loud talking continuing; easily heard by every passenger on the bus. As he pulled out onto the road, the loud, angry talking continued as did the lack of commentary. He went only a few hundred feet and pulled off the road again as the loud yelling and talking continued. We sat for 5 minutes before we finally decided we had had enough and we were leaving the bus. As we got down to the first level, we looked at a passenger who reported "he is taking and making personal phone calls; it is so unprofessional". And indeed, we saw and realized that the loud voice and yelling we were hearing was the driver. We eventually made our way to the Dublin office to complain, but found ourselves ignored; not greeted or acknowledged in anyway; so once again we left. Later that day, we decided to try it again; we lodged a complaint with that driver and he too was indifferent. I would not recommend this company. Rather, use BigBus Dublin. They have better buses and an app that you can use to let you know when to expect the next bus instead of just standing there and hoping for the best.

Wouldn’t do it again - We were not advised that the bus came only once an hour. We arrived at the stop to see the bus pulling out at 10 am so we had yo wait an hour for the next one, which was half an hour late, the speakers didn’t work so we could not hear the commentary. It was better on the upper deck but it was cold and windy so we moved back down. We would have done better on a city bus just driving around the city…

Too much time between... - Too much time between buses at stops. Seem disorganized. Tapes of attractions missing in spots. Shoddy

Terrible service - Just an awful experience with City Sightseeing. We've used them extensively before in other cities and they're normally good, but hidden in tiny print behind a little + icon on the website, it tells you that they operate hourly in Dublin - far less frequent than in most of the cities we've been to before. We never did manage to exchange our pre-purchased voucher for a ticket, and over a long weekend in Dublin we only saw one of their buses on 2 occasions. Don't bother with them here. There's two good alternatives in DoDublin (the green buses which come every 20/30 minutes) or Big Bus (no personal experience), both of which have live guides who are far more entertaining than the pre-recorded stuff you'll get here. Contacting City Sightseeing afterwards it's very clear they don't care once they have your money. Avoid at all costs.

bad - Total Foolery You wait at least 45 minutes for the bus. Meanwhile, the green hop-on and hop-off bus and the other red bus pass you twice. We then decided to take the green bus and wanted the money back because we had not used the bus tickets at all. No chance, although we bought them online and should actually get the money back according to EU law. But they are not interested in that, they speculate that in the end you will accept it. Unbelievably unfriendly. Not Dublin-like. Avoid this organisation!!!

It is a rip off - This is a rip off. The site says that they run every 45-60 minutes but we waited for more than an hour and ended up taking "bigbus tours" (slightly more expensive) but they run every 20 minutes. Although we didn't use the tickets, "City Sightseeing" did not provide any refund on the tickets. DON'T USE THEM, spend 10 euros extra with one of the other 2 companies instead!

DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY - Total waste of money, road the bus only one time 2 days in as it was near impossible to find a bus as we watched loads of other company busses arrive and leave time and time again. Purchase with one of the other companies if you choose a hop in hop off. Terrible service

Don’t use - Terrible. Buses run every hour where the other companies run every 20 mins. Don’t waste your time. You’ll be better off walking
