Highlights
  • Aquazoo Loebbecke Museum - The art museums in Düsseldorf enjoy an international reputation, but the darling of the public is the Aquazoo Löbbecke Museum in the Nordpark.

Everything has been happening in, under and above water since 1987. From stingrays to shredded fish, from penguins to sharks, 500 species are gathered. The theme of evolution is the common thread that runs through the building, which reopened in 2017 after extensive renovation: the tour tells the story of living things from their formation in water, their spread in the sea, the conquest of fresh water to the settlement of all habitats on land. The Aquazoo has received multiple awards from the UN for its own amphibian protection and breeding station, in which various endangered animals were cared for and in some cases successfully propagated.

Economic way to move around on public transport - An easy and economical way to bounce around the town on all of the public transport, as well as gaining access to some sites for free or given a discount. I bought a 72 hour card and it starts from a time you decide. It cost me 24euros, for the 3 days and was cheaper than buying a day ticket at 15.90E for 24 hours.

Card worth it but presentation is awkward through this method - The card itself is fine but the way it’s delivered via viatour leaves a lot to be desired. A group ticket shows only 1 adult and a 48hr ticket is hard to reference easily on the download. We had several institutions have to look into our purchase before they accepted it was a 48hr group ticket.

Read the fine print!!! - Make sure you read the fine print they made this sound in the details like this was an opportunity to use public transportation as you wish from the time slot you chose but it’s actually a tour and takes up the entire day I’ve had 7 AM because I thought it was public and station. Now there’s no way that I can use this. I tried to get a refund and it tells me that the refund cost is 100% of the cost of the purchase meaning they will not issue a refund.
