The Q Train - The Q Train is a restaurant that travels along the historic Bellarine Railway between Drysdale and Queenscliff. The train usually departs from, and returns to, Drysdale Station, just an easy 15-minute drive from Geelong. However, on select services The Q Train departs from, and returns to, the Queenscliff Railway Station.
Never before has Australia seen a heritage rail line used for showcasing local food, wine, beer and cider. We’re inviting locals and visitors alike to come aboard our restored carriages and enjoy a gastronomical journey unlike anything else you have experienced.
We are serving local produce on every journey from the comfort of our refurbished dining cars; providing every customer with a delicious rail journey, and unique views of Swan Bay and the Bellarine.

Exquisite Rail Dining - This was a wonderful experience with virtually all local ingredients and amazing staff. Options are available to suit varying budgets and you won’t be left hungry. A step back in time.

Q Train memory - The Q Train is a unique experience, it was well worth doing the 1st class Dining. Now, if you just enjoy a slow ride to Queenscliff with the excellence of wonderful LOCAL produce, then this is something I’d recommend.

So much fun. - This was fun! The train moved slowly so we had time to enjoy the countryside. The meal was sooooo much better than I imagined. The staff were gorgeous and helpful. It was relaxing, and we got a short time to stretch and stroll at Queenscliffe.

A wonderful experience. - Booked to go with some friends. Wonderful experience.
Staff are amazing. The servce is as good as a 5 star hotel.
The staff are very knowledgable on the food and paired wines.
If you want o have a memorable occasion with family and friends I highly recommend the Q Train.

A definite must do - It’s funny how we look further than our own backyard to find amazing things to do. Having seen the Q Train on social media I was definitely keen to go & it did not disappoint.
From the ferry ride from Docklands to the shuttle to the train, everything was seamless.
The actual lunch in first class was brilliant. The carriage was lovely & comfortable & Georgia looked after us with informative detail on the perfectly matched wines to our incredible food.
A brilliant way to spend a day & a must do experience to tick off your list

Anniversary Lunch - Absolutely fantastic experience, congratulations to all staff who tended to us, outstanding service. Couldn’t fault anything. Food was awesome as was the train ride. If you can afford First Class it’s definitely worth.

A Unique Wonderful Experience. Loved It. - We loved this unique train experience of fine dining. Our first class compartment for 2 was classy and comfortable. Our 5 course degustation menu with a matching wine for each course was perfect. Each course was delicious and the local wines extremely good (Rose’, Chardonnay, merlot, Pinot noir and muscat). Each dish wasn’t overly large but having 5 of them we were beginning to struggle by the time sweets arrived. From the moment we walked onto the platform we received pleasant personalised service right through to disembarking 3 and a half hours later. The train journey also made for great countryside and bay views.

Great afternoon & trip - Absolutely had a great time on the Q train. We were met by the lovely Molly who served us with welcome drink and nibbles, and escorted us to our cabin. Georgia then welcomed us on board and was our host for the afternoon.She was such a knowledgeable and friendly person. An absolutely wonderful experience. Food was great and service even better. Thanks Georgia & Molly and the whole Q train team. Made my birthday a special one. Will do again for sure.

Quaint - The Q Train is a moving restaurant train that travels through the heart of The Bellarine Peninsula between Drysdale and Queenscliff.
It is an expensive experience. My wife and I paid $363.55 (includes booking fee of $5.55) to dine in the First Class Compartment for Two (excellent for social distancing while the pandemic continues with the latest Covid-19 wave currently happening).
There is a degustation menu of 5 courses and matching wines included with each course.
The serves are very small and all five of the courses were very mediocre. We would only do this once for the novelty.
