Must do experience - I love Hop on Hop off, I find myself doing this in every country I visit, it gives me knowledge of the place and I decide when to get off and get back on.

Dresden - Great way to catch all the sights. Very comfortable on the bus even tho it was very hot today. The commentary was very interesting and informative

best way to explore - With 22 stops to hop on/off you get the best overall view of the city and the suburbs where you cannot walk to because of the distance. Included in the rate is also a free walking tour of the old town and a night guard walking tour in the evening. And you can extend the ticket for several days paying EUR 2,- each day.

Helps to orientate in new city - We did a river cruise up to the Dresden Funicular, and then hopped on the Bus for the hop on and off tour back to the city. Couldn't use the second day. They did have trouble with the English recording, we had Germen friends with us so that helped. We think these buses are the best way to start a visit to a new town, anywhere in the world

Enjoyed learning about the history of Dresden. - Some drivers were not very friendly. Second day the English recording did not work so had to move to another seat. The drivers drove the bus well. Back to starting point within 1.5 hours. Had a late start.

The bus tour was informative and enjoyable. - The bus was nice, but in November it does not go often. Also, the free walking tour and night tour were not offered in English in November. I asked ahead of time, but no one could tell me if they were in English. We still enjoyed the bus tour.

Difficult to hear the audio - Nice round tour of this beautiful city and impressive views. Unfortunately we could not hear the English audio guide because the German audio is so loud. Also, what is said is too much and too fast, so in the end it was only a visual tour for us and we missed the information about the places we saw.

Not what he should be!! - There were several things about this experience that were bad. First, one of the main reasons we booked these tickets was because they advertised an included English speaking city tour. We saw that the night tour’s English speaking tour was not offered during the winter months, but that the city tour was. We planned our day to be at the tour’s meeting point at the designated time only to be told that they were not offering it any longer. Needless, to say that we were very disappointed. Next, twice as we were within 10 feet of the entrance door the bus drove off. Yes, we were running to catch the bus because the posted times were not reliable. The bus came late/early! Also, finally, our last bus driver drove without regard to the passengers’ safety or any pedestrian’s safety. He actually got into a fight with a gentleman after he stopped within two inches of his car. I am quite certain that the argument would have resulted in blows if the driver had been accessible. In closing, please reconsider taking this tour. We have taken these type of tours several times in several different locations and have never been disappointed before.

Would recommend for hard of hearing German speakers only - Ok if you know German well and are half deaf. With the German guide coming from the speakers at full volume, it's impossible to listen to the guide in any other language through the offered earphones. Got a headache within 15 minutes from the noise. Worst hop-on hop-off tour ever!
