This tour is perfect for those eager to journey back in time by riding a restored Steam Train and exploring one of the United Kingdom’s best-preserved Norman Castles. After exploring Castletown, the tour proceeds to the Sound for lunch, a summer breeding ground for the North Atlantic Grey Seal. Lunch will be enjoyed at the Sound Café, which features floor-to-ceiling windows offering stunning views of the Calf of Man and the Sound.
Following lunch, the tour visits Cregneish Folk Village, established in 1935 by Manx National Heritage. Here, traditional farming methods are practiced, the rare Manx cat can be spotted, and native Loaghtan sheep are bred. The village also served as a filming location for the movie ‘Waking Ned (Devine)’ in the 1990s.
The tour concludes with a return to Douglas, with guests being conveniently picked up from a location of their choice.
