The Best San Sebastian Pintxos Food and Wine tour! Earra Tours delivers! - The San Sebastian Pintxos Food and Wine & Market Foodie tour with Jon at Earra Tours was a fantastic time! Jon is a local and if you want an insider's view and tour of this delicious city, he's your guy! This tour is a perfect blend of history, culture and the foods and wines of this Basque region. Jon is high energy, loves what he does and loves sharing his city and its foods & wines. Everywhere we stopped, the owners greeted him - and us - very warmly. He gives you as much history as you want, always very interesting (never boring) and his tour will make you appreciate the culture of this region. We loved the high pace and his energy and made us excited to experience this city! We started learning the history of the city, then moved on to the market and visited two stalls tasting the local meats, cheeses and olives and olive oils. I didn't think I'd like the 'gilda' but it was fantastic and Jon was very encouraging and it was amazing! We then moved on to visit 3 different restaurants/ pintxos bars where we enjoyed unique and other amazing foods. One of my favorite dishes was a fresh gazpacho soup and also the flash fried white asparagus. The last restaurant was the famous San Sebastian cheesecake and paired with the dark cream sherry was out of this world delicious! Jon was really helpful in providing other pintxos bars and restaurants to round out our foodie experience in San Sebastian. We had a great experience! Amazing Basque food and culture experience! - We learned a new Basque word today to express delight: Earra! Our "Foodie, Market, Wine and Pintxo Experience Tour" was amazing. Jon, owner of Earra Tours, guided us through the old Town of San Sebastián and educated us on the history and culture of the area as well as the evolution of the pintxo. Leigh and I have been waiting for this experience for many years! Done!

Superb tour incorporating historical and culinary highlights of San Sebastián - Jon was an incredible tour guide- he created a wonderful and very personalized experience for us, which incorporated a walking/car tour with beautiful views, detailed historical/social/political discussions of the region, and, of course, absolutely delicious food. Amazing San Sebastián highlights & Pintxos tour! ❤️ - What a perfect way to start off our visit to San Sebastien! Jon was incredible at showcasing all the most beautiful, picturesque, & historic spots around town for our family! His charisma and infectious enthusiasm for everything Basque was fantastic and we loved learning so much from his locals perspective! Our 20-something kids loved all the instagrammable moments & it was fun exploring with him as he seemed to know everyone in town! The Pintxos tour was a real highlight because he took us to 4 delicious stops in the old town which were all atmospheric, authentic, and AMAZING! Overall, we couldn’t have had a better start to our trip! And Jon went above & beyond to give us tips, pointers, & suggestions for the rest our stay. We feel like we had a tour with an old friend! Great tour - We really enjoyed our food tour around San Sebastián and would highly recommend going early in your trip (ideally first day/evening) so you can revisit your favourite places again as we did! Arantxa was a great guide, so knowledgeable and enthusiastic. I’m taking a star off simply because we just felt it was a little overpriced compared to other food tours we’ve done. There was plenty of food and alcohol throughout just a little too expensive considering price of Pintxos and alcohol. Still recommend when you’re visiting a place little San Sebastián.
