Bilbao Guggenheim trip for families - Our guide Iker was friendly and patient with our kids. He was punctual and knowledgeable about the local culture and history. We arrived from San Sebastian so the car ride was over an hour. It gave us some time to rest at the end of the trip.

Tremendous experience, worth it! - We had a great time! Our guide, Eva, was spectacular. He was very knowledgeable and super friendly. Made our trip even more memorable. Take lots of photos in Gaztelugatxe, it is a wonderful place. We ate very delicious in Bilbao and saw the city center. Finally, the Guggenheim is impressive. Thank you very much, Eva!

INCREDIBLE DAY - booked bilbao tour w TA. local agent maria messaged w clear details. our guide imanol met us, no other travelers, grateful our booking was held! super new comfy van, imanol a considerate, confident driver. he immersed us in basque country and culture, and astounding Basque history. besides being one of the most humble/accomplished young men alive, articulate and informed, he kindly adjusted to our slower walking and brought gaxtelugatxe and bilbao alive in one long delightful day. stops for refreshment, vistas, relaxing plaza lunch w local specialities, stroll through old town bilbao, crowned by the guggenheim visit, where imanol secured a wheelchair, making viewing a breeze. it was a privilege to experience bilbao, a city transformed from industrial wasteland to world class art center (with the old town preserved!). may this model be repeated other places. blessings on the Basque!

Glimpses of the Basque country - I have traveled widely with many guides but Aida is easily one of the top 3 guides who I have traveled with. She had a wonderful way of explaining the history and was so knowledgeable and interesting. All places visited were very good and the lunch was also excellent.

A day well spent - The trip was fun. Gaztelugatxe was gorgeous, we happened to have a been a clear day, the tour of old town Bilbao was comprehensive and the Guggenheim is a world class museum, well worth a day trip out of San Sebastián. Ike’s our guide is personable, informative and allowed us to interact as a group. An excellent driver and professional. A day well spent

Awesome day but definitely room for improvement - The Guggenheim and visiting San Juan Gaztelugatxe were highlights and well worth the trip. The driver was unfortunately only that, a driver. We received limited information on everything we did and were literally dropped off and collected later, which was actually a good thing at the Guggenheim. The lunch was terrible. Food was dripping in Oil and most left food. The driver drove way too fast and when several of us asked him to slow down he got quite nasty and took it personally. It was wet and he hit 150 kms an hour at one stage although he did make more of an effort on the return journey. Personally, I was terrified at one stage as were others as we discussed when we got to Bilbao. I’d recommend the trip but with a different lunch venue and driver

Awful - Far better from the outside than the inside. The building is a nice modern design with quality features if poorly finished in places. Inside is very sparse and the exhibition really are a matter of taste. 20% plus of the exhibitions were unavailable to us but that was not highlighted upfront nor did it reflect in the price. The current exhibitions are very boring and my children could have done better than most of the pieces. Overall a massive disappointment.
