Great experience, definitely recommend. - This was the most amazing adventure, especially the whale watching. Our guide was fantastic and we saw a lot of whales, it was awesome Would definitely do this again. On the other hand, the Limon waterfall was beautiful, we took horses down the falls and got to relax and take in the scenery for a while. the only downfall was that the waterfall was at the bottom of an extremely steep hill that we had to walk back up to get to our horses. It was a bit much for some of the older members of our group. It was a great day, though and we would definitely recommend this excursion.

So much more than advertised! - As others have mentioned... this is a very long day. BUT you get so much for $169!!!! A small shuttle picked us up in the early am and brought us to the bus. The bus was very comfortable. Our guide Nacho was hilarious and explained everything in detail on the way to the whale boat. What we didn't expect was how beautiful and exciting the drive is! What a great way to see the countryside of the DR! We passed through many towns and were able to ask questions about local farms, schools etc. There are plenty of stops for bathroom breaks and shopping. Whale watching was excellent and Nacho and the drivers went out of their way to make sure we saw a lot of whales. Even though the ride on the way back was supposed to be a quick shuttle- they stopped and allowed us to watch a mom and baby. The lunch was very good and although the horse ride is a little treacherous, the waterfall is worth it! A few tips: Buy the photo package. It's $60 and then you can just live the experience. 2. Prepare to get wet on the boat. 3. There is a lot of motion on the boat. Be proactive and take ginger or dramamine. Even if you don't think you need it. 4. Skip the souvenir shopping. It's nothing you can't get anywhere else and they don't haggle as well as other places. 5. You need to have good mobility to view the falls. The steps down and back up are intense (and we teach fitness classes! )

An Excursion to Remember - We had a blast! Even the little bit of rain and mud couldn’t put a damper on our awesome experience. Nacho, our guide, was so funny and kind - he never left our group and made us feel safe the entire time. Rene was one of the best drivers I’ve seen, he can maneuver that bus like nobody’s business. It’s a long 13hr day, but if you pay attention and read the trip details you should already know that. We saw a mama humpback with her baby and the horseback ride to the waterfall wasn’t as scary as I was expecting, considering I haven’t been on a horse since I was 8 years old. Overall, I would definitely recommend this excursion! Thanks again, Nacho and Rene!

One of the best Punta Cana excursions - Whale watching and Bacardi Island. Miguel was very personable and pointed out things on the bus ride to the boat. The boat ride to the island was nice. We enjoyed the beach and the lunch provided was very good. The highlight was the whale watching. We saw numerous whales and some even jumped. I would recommend this excursion to everybody, especially with Miguel.

Great tour! - Nacho was awesome!!!! He even danced on the tables! Rene was a consummate professional driver. We had a blast all day. The horse guide “suggested” an amount to tip him which I thought was in very poor taste and he didn’t get close to the $45-50 he asked for.

Not worth the travel and horses maltreated - The boat crew and whale watch was fun- although short - once we’d seen a few whales! The guide basically said. That’s good enough . The horse back ride was awful - the hoses are in terrible shape and maltreated - yelled at and hit with switches - the path was very rocky and muddy and the horses were forced to keep pace - one horse fell on our trip and the rider/ tourist was injured as was the horse - not at all safe or kind to the animals - once back the horse were not watered or tenepded to in any way before going out again - very long trip - 3 hours to get to the boat - then another hour from the boat to the ranch - both ways - most of the day was spent in a bus or truck traveling g - not a very good experience

NOT RECOMMENDED! - Way too long of a day. Picked up at 6:45 am and returned 8:00 pm The dock where we embarked was rickety, the bathrooms had no hand washing station or sanitizer. The trek to the falls was harrowing! Mules and horses with guides take you down through a treacherous muddy path. Then there are 280 uneven slippery muddy steps down to the falls with intermittent railings (and then the walk back up). Do not recommend taking this tour.
