Great Trip - Saona - Must Do - First of all my Wife and I have been to Saona Island at least 5 times over the last 4 years - Most have been Great - This tour with Caribbean Route was one of the best - - the drivers who picked us up to take us to the larger bus were on time, and were very professional , friendly , informative. ( nice Guys ) - the tour guide that accompanied us in the tour bus from start to return was the best with information and had a very friendly deminer , he liked his job, and liked people, the catamaran was very comfortable and lots of room for the hole group, Drink, water , soft drink, and Rum was provided , the visit to the Star-Fish pool was Fantastic - other that seeing an abundance of star-fish , there was Conch, and even had a sting Ray hang out for a while. ( got pics to prove it ) arriving at the Island was great and we were escorted to our group area for shelter and lunch, there were near by washrooms as well, lunch was great had every thing that you might want except Sea-food , that you could purchase at a reasonable cost by just asking. The beach and sand was perfect, water was warn , there were more than enough loungers and seating for every one. I must say there has been some storms and high tides that have caused some erosion on the beach bottom , there are some areas that have some rocky areas, so Please bring some water shoes for your enjoyment to use if the area is a little rough. Our trip back to the departure point was great , and on time, our trip back to Punta Cana was Great Via our A/C equipped bus. Then we were shuttled to our individual hotels. In the end they are Good people trying to give you a great experience. - My one negative take - away is - we were one of the last people to get off the boat at 5 p.m. , very few people gave a tip to these hard working people , who rely on that for their living, The same goes for the bus and shuttle drivers , most people did not leave any tip. You Know Who You Are . I Canada every one who dine out or uses services knows that 18 to 20 percent is the standard. why not give the same when you are in a third world country , to people who really need it. ? ? ? .

All day activity with pick up in the morning, then stop at a local shop, we went to the natural swimming pool, the Saona island. We had great lunch and used the catamaran back. Great day trip - It was a great day trip! The communication with the local company/guide was very good; they informed us the pick up place and time, they were punctual! The first stop was Altos de Chavez, it’s a nice place to see; there is no history or character but it’s a beautiful design of the buildings and beautiful gardens! The boat trip was very nice as well; the island is magnificent! The food was not bad at all! We stayed almost 3 h on the island! The alcohol is plenty and the music and the dance added to the great experience! The guides, the drivers, all the boat crew did a great job!!!!I do recommend this trip!!!!

Day trip - Alex was the best tour guide. Over all was a fun trip. A lot of time traveling to and from the island. A 10 hour day trip but only 3 and a half was actually the trip itself. Snorkeling was none existent but more of a swim time. Very exhausting.

Long day but worth it! - Great day out visiting Altos de Chavon and then Saona Island. Long day overall but worth it. We started the tour with a small group which was lovely and then joined others for the speedboat transfer to Saona Island. On the way to the Island you stop in the middle of the Caribbean Sea (natural pool) for photos, swim and drinks. The Island is beautiful and you have a few hours for lunch and chilling on the sunbed. Time where you can have a Coconut or Pina Colada (extra cost) but delicious. The return was in a Catamaran where you can chill or dance for about 1.5hrs. On arrival back to mainland you are picked up on bus but half way you are transferred on a small van back to your hotel. Overall great tour worth visiting!

Saona Island Trip! - Our tour guide Alex was very kind and knowledgeable about the area. An hour ride by bus to the pick up spot by boat was well informed with the history of DR. We appreciated how far DR as a country has come through after its spanish colonization. It was great to know about the back history of the resorts and how this has boomed the economy and DR is in much better place than its neighboring country, Haiti. Besides informing us, Alex made sure we were safe and stayed in our group when we boarded and embarked small and big boats, everything went seamlessly. We enjoyed the lunch and the drinks provided during the tour. Option of having pictures taken by Big Paapi snd Henry was great. Alex also warned us about not to eat or drink non certified items sold by the peddlers and to graceful refuse to the sellers. Over all a fun day at the island. Loved the scenery, crystal clear water, smooth sand and lovely weather. Our bus driver Barry was nice and made sure we all were back in the bus before we departed.

Unprofessional Communication - We were not able to confirm any details as no one would answer the number listed, when someone did answer the phone at 0730 (trip pickup was supposed to be 0645) they let us know that we had not confirmed via whatsapp and that we missed our pickup and would be a no show. I have call logs and unanswered texts prior to our reservation without any answers.
