Additional Information

Enjoy one of the most beautiful places in the Saona Island country, our heavenly beach with white sand and crystal clear water.

We will start our tour from Bayahibe on a Catamaran or Motomaran, bordering the coast of the Cotubanama National Park, where you will be able to appreciate the flora and fauna of this protected area in a panoramic way. While we sail to the rhythm of tropical music on the catamaran we will offer you water, soda and spirit and mixers (Cuba Libre).

Upon reaching the natural pool, you will enjoy a refreshing swim in its crystal clear waters, where you can observe some of the marine species that abound in this area.

We will continue sailing towards the Catuano Canal, where you can glimpse the separation of La Española and Saona Island until we reach the paradisiacal beach, where you will enjoy music, lunch and the occasional toast of water, rum or beer.

We will return to port riding the waves after a vibrant and fun day!

We will be back! - Amazing experience highly recommended 👌 We did this trip and the whale watching both booked at our hotel. Staff all brilliant, not pushy at point of sale. Gave great advice. Tour guides very knowledgeable about the island. Fantastic days out !

Beautiful island but wouldn’t book again… - Beautiful island, truly blown away by the water and beach. Loved that we started the trip snorkelling and after the beach, we stopped at a natural swimming pool which was a shallow part in the ocean where we could swim and have drinks before heading back to the resort. We also stopped at a chocolate factory too which was a great addition! I loved all the extra bits of history. Tour guide Chanel Fernandez was great. Unfortunately, I would not book this trip again as I did not find it worth the money and could not stand the harassment from all the workers along the way to pay for tips or extra items. The women on the catamaran straight up asked us for a tip whereas I would have already tipped without being asked. They took a picture of us at the beginning of the day and told us it was if we were to get lost then they knew who was missing but when we got back on the bus and they had our picture on a bottle which they gave to us and then told us we had to purchase… we ended up giving that back and not paying. It was definitely not all inclusive. You could only get beer and rum and had to pay extra for everything else. The food was great but we didn’t get very much. The beach was PACKED. We had 2 hours which went by quickly but we were ready to go by the end because it was difficult to relax with all the tours constantly coming and going. The absolute worst part was the photographer… we decided to let this photographer take photos of us so that we didn’t have to worry about our phones etc. The poses he made us do were so horribly cheesy and embarrassing even after I asked to not do anything like that. He followed us around the entire time and all I wanted was nice normal photos of us. At the end, he showed us all the pictures and honestly if there were any I liked I would have bought them! But these photos were horrible. He kept offering lower and lower and giving us a speech how he worked and he only profits x amount but I simply said no which he was not taking for an answer. This experience really tainted the entirety of the trip and for all these reasons I would rather just stay on the resort and enjoy my day there! Oh and booking for this trip with Edwardo was not pleasant. Started off great but my partner had to make a call to the bank on his card so the payment would go through and when we went back we had decided to not go on the trip with catamaran and dolphins and “scuba diving” due to the reviews and he was extremely rude to us. We almost said forget it right then and there. We understand that might have been an inconvenience to adjust but not impossible and should have been handled better. We had not purchased anything at this point and we have the right to change our minds and I am appalled at his behaviour towards us and we really shouldn’t have booked anything at all based off of that reaction alone.

NOT WORTH IT as the trip took us 5 hours to get there and 4 hours to get back! We only spent 45 minutes in the island! - We booked the excursion to Saona from office at BAHIA PRINCIPE GRAN LA ROMANA. The agent Mr Henrike told us the trip will take 50 minutes to get to the island. In reality is took us 5 HOURS to get there and 4 Hours to get back!! We only spent 45 minutes in the island!! be carful
