At 05.00 am, we commence a 2-hour journey from the hotel to Doi Inthanon National Park, elevated at 2,565 meters. The park is a haven for sphagnum moss, unique to Thailand, nestled within its upper mountain forest. Devoting two hours, bird enthusiasts can savor the ornithological treasures along the trails. Bird population density exceeds other places here, hosting a wide array of resident and migratory species. It’s one of Thailand’s most remarkable spots for birdwatching.
Following the birdwatching session, hike alongside local guides for two hours who will impart insightful knowledge about the jungle. The route encompasses rice fields, a flower garden, a waterfall, and a taste of local coffee prepared traditionally.
We arrange for an English-speaking birdwatching tour guide, hotel pick-up and drop-off, local hiking guide, as well as breakfast and lunch. All charges and activities mentioned in the program are included.
No prior experience in birdwatching or hiking is required. All nature enthusiasts are welcome to enjoy and create memorable experiences for their holiday in Chiangmai.

Amazing amateur birdwatching experience - We really enjoyed this birdwatching experience with Joe! He was very knowledgeable about the birds, their names and enabled us to spot many different species (about 20, including multiple relatively rare ones - all beautiful). The guided walk through the forest was also interesting with a possibility of tasting and buing some local coffee. Everything run smoothly and the communication was on point.

Magic of mountains and hillside tribes - Joe is a local who knows and loves the area—and who loves to share the area’s treasures.
He took me to two birding hotspots where we saw some target birds and one rarity!
The hike with the Karen guide through the mountains to her village was a delight.

Educational, Fun Day - We really enjoyed our day with Joe. We learned a lot about Chiang Mai, birds in the park, sampled home grown coffee and saw gorgeous vistas. And the lunch khao soi was delicious!

Excellent bird watching experience and guide! - Joe knows the best bird spots and knows his birds; nice, professional, and fun. We really enjoyed the birding/hiking at Doi Inthanon. Highly recommend!

Mount Doi Inthanon Hiking and Bird Watching - I am very interested in birds but my family is only mildly interested. Therefore this was the perfect trip for us. It was a nice mix of bird watching and hiking. Joe knew his birds and where to find them and was an excellent traveling companion for all of us. The hike is through spectacular scenery. This hike is only allowed with a Karen Tribal guide who are indigenous to this part of the Park and they care for the land. The hike is steep and can be challenging for us older folks. 3 of the 4 of us are in our 70's, but we are in good shape and were able to do it. The dinner on the way home was very delicious.
A good time was had by all of us and I recommend Go With Joe to others.
PS Trip Advisor- regarding who was with me- only allowed me to put Couples or Family with teens. We were none of the options. This was my Brother, his wife, myself, and our niece, 25 years old, from a different brother.

As the other reviews... - As the other reviews said, Joe is very knowledgeable in local birds. He showed us all the birds we saw in his bird book so we can note down their English names. The yellow truck that took us to the top of the Doi Inthanon mountain gave me some motion sickness, so be ready. After seeing three hotspots for bird watching, we went on a 2h hike with a local guide and visited a waterfall and their rice field to support local business. I recommend!

Birds and hike. - Joe took us on a wonderful bird watching trip up a mountain. We saw many different species. Then a hike on a beautiful mountain trail past wither falls and over bamboo bridges. Highly recommended.

Great experience with Joe - It's been almost a year that I've spent a several days in Chiang May, as a solo female traveler. I found Joe on internet and every day we went on some trip. I write this review to say it is a good choice to go with Joe as he is knowledgeable ,good English speaking, punctual and polite.I can truly recommend him.
I did not write this before, because a lot of things happened after I got home.
