Great - The tour guide (Nacho) and driver (Daniel) were phenomenal. The waterfall was absolutely gorgeous. Lunch was good. It was awesome being able to see the towns and countryside of the Dominican Republic! Bacardi island was absolutely beautiful.

Amazing Experience, Tips Nightmare! - The reason i didn't rated this trip with five stars but with four was the tips hunting, especially in the horse riding. To begin with the excursion, it was really organised and we saw so many nice landscapes in one day. It was by far the best trip (even though they informed us for our pick-up time at 22:00 the previous night and after several efforts to contact them). About the tips, we were really pissed off with our tour guide handling. We did the horse riding (included in our trip) and we were forced to give 25 euros to each one (two horses, two guides). The guys there were really nice (even though money hunters) but we didn't have money with us, only card. We talked to our tour guide to stop in a bank (following the idea of the locals, they even wanted to drops us in a bank with a moto) and pull out some cash. We gave him 1.000 pesos to give them but he told to my wife to give him 1.200 pesos (because he said that 20 euros is 1.200 pesos). Very bad experience and unprofessional handling of him. They should include people's fees in the tickets, otherwise they should let us give whatever we want and we can.

Scam upon Scam - With the exception of the beautiful waterfall and gorgeous beach water this was an absolute nightmare. To begin with we got picked up an hour late, then we were switched to 3 different buses. After that we took a 2 hour ride to the boat. 35 min ride to the Semana island which wasn’t bad. After doing that you are taken to go eat and then to the waterfall. The waterfall is a complete scam, I ended up having to spend another $220 dollars because you are forced to pay the horse workers because that is not included in the trip. What did I exactly pay for if I am having to pay an additional 220 dollars. I didn’t anticipate that and didn’t bring any bank cards so I was forced to buy something at the store near the waterfall which was marked up beyond the cost as a tactic because they knew this was the only way I could get money by using my phone. That really ruined the trip. Again the waterfall is beyond words but everything leading up to it is a complete scam, everyone is wanting money in some type of form or fashion. I would avoid this trip if I were you unless you are willing to pay double. There a lot more things on the island to enjoy than to be scammed while on vacation. Lastly if you speak English good luck because there is no one to translate at all.

Very disappointing tour - We booked a tour to the Limon waterfall, but were very disappointed by what we got for our money. The walk to the waterfall was ok, our guide Alex was very friedly and helpful. However, communication with him was difficult because he did not speak English and therefore could not explain us much about the plants and trees there. This was very irritating, since we explicitly booked an English tour. Furthermore, we had to pay an entrance fee for the waterfall although this fee was supposed to be included in the tour price and Alex, the guide told us that the guides only get money from tips, so we had to give him some extra money, too. The local food at the end of the tour was ok. But since we had to get to Limon ourselves without pick up or transfer and had to pay an entrance fee and the guide, it is not clear to us what exactly we paid 107 USD for beforehand. To be honest for that much money we would have expected more. No recommendation from our side!
