I grew up in the Northern countryside where everything was self-sufficient. I learned a lot about how to grow food, prepare and cook from scratch with all natural ingredients from the farm and garden (My father was a chef). I’ve lived in the South for 26 years. So I specialize in authentic and healthy home-style dishes from North to South Vietnam.

All guests prepare, cook from scratch and eat together the same menu at my home-setting kitchen (no separate station for each guest). I will advise you on how best to prepare the food and guide you step by step through that cooking process to ensure you to get the best results.

My home is 1 km from the city centre. You should find the residential elevators of Block A on the left side of the building (the front entrance is the office area). Show the security man my apt no "Unit 24-A8, 24th Floor, Block A & he will open the elevators for you.

Authentic Food, Incredible Host - Our experience at Lau Kitchen was fantastic! Lau herself was an incredible host - highly knowledgeable, funny, and very flexible throughout the whole evening. She went out of her way to accommodate our needs and made sure we felt comfortable at every step. The food was delicious, but what really made it special was her warm personality and the way she shared her passion and insights with us. Couldn’t recommend Lau Kitchen more highly - it’s a must-do experience!

Fabulous experience - Had a fabulous experience with Lua, she customised our class ( just us so was great one on one experience) to suit our experiences...very informative and was simple to make the authentic / traditional dishes chosen.... place has amazing views and she "air b and b's" as well.....will be staying here next visit for sure.....

A Must-visit on your trip in Vietnam - Lua is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to making practical, clean, and flavorful recipes. If you are visiting HCMC I highly recommend you take one of her classes! I’ve already been to her kitchen 4 times and every experience has been filled with new dishes to learn and new people to meet. She is also very accommodating for allergies and adapts the menu to the group. This is always a highlight of my trips to Vietnam.

great experience - What a fantastic experience with Lua. I went with a couple of colleagues after a conference and we met some other lovely people there. Good hands on experience and nice to be in a home doing all the measuring chopping etc. Small group, great apartment - very happy for the air-conditioned apartment. To top it all off a delicious meal cooked and shared by all. Hoghly recommend.

Wonderful cooking class - My friends and I had an amazing time at Lua’s cooking class. Firstly, her home is beautiful and clean, which was a great ambience to make food. She shared so much of her knowledge about Vietnamese dishes and was able to teach us how to make some of our favorites, as well as introduce us to new dishes. The food was delicious, and Lua was able to accommodate me as a Vegetarian. The class was a good mix of cooking demonstrations as well as our own participation.
I would definitely recommend this class to anyone traveling to Ho Chi Minh City!

Authentic Vietnamese cooking class with amazing view - We had an amazing experience cooking with Lua on our trip to Saigon. Lua’s cooking class was a superb, very authentic and enjoyable experience. The food was absolutely delicious and recipes so simple that we can definitely cook up a storm and impress our family and friends when we get back home.
Lua was a great host and the view from her apartment was absolutely stunning. We would highly recommend!

A Wonderful Evening Cooking Class - An unforgettable experience! Lua is not only incredibly warm and welcoming but also a joy to be around—she made the entire evening feel like a gathering with an old friend. The food? Hands down the best meal we’ve had in Vietnam so far—every bite was packed with authentic flavors. And to top it all off, the view from the apartment is absolutely breathtaking, making the whole experience feel even more magical. If you’re considering this, don’t hesitate—it’s a must!
