- Shangri-La County - Guests are picked up from their hotel in Shangri-La and taken to Deqin. Along the journey, they can enjoy a distant view of the expansive Napa Grasslands before reaching the impressive Jinsha Grand Canyon. A stop at Benzilan, a delightful town on the historic Tea Horse Road, provides a glimpse into its rich heritage. Visitors should not miss the Dong Zhu Lin Monastery (East Forest Monastery), a century-old religious site filled with culture and tranquility. Finally, they arrive in Deqin, where a breathtaking sunset view of the majestic Meili Snow Mountain awaits—a perfect way to end the day.
- Yubeng Village - The day begins with a stunning sunrise view of Meili Snow Mountain. After breakfast, guests are dropped off at Ninong, where their adventure begins (15 kilometers, approximately 6 hours hike). This tour leads through Ninong Canyon and into the heart of a primeval forest, following the winding path alongside the Lancang River. As they journey through this untouched wilderness, they will finally arrive at the peaceful Yubeng Village, nestled at the foot of Meili Snow Mountain. Known as a miniature Shangri-La, Yubeng offers an idyllic escape into nature, with its tranquil landscapes and pristine beauty.
- Yubeng Village - After breakfast, guests prepare for a challenging day at Ice Lake, about 14 kilometers, offering a variety of rest stops and scenic viewpoints along the pathways. Ideal for visitors with good physical stamina, this trail takes them through diverse terrains, ranging from gentle slopes to challenging steep sections. The journey culminates at the ice lake viewpoint, where they can rest with breathtaking views of Meili Snow Mountain, particularly the majestic Kawagebo Peak. Throughout the hike, they will experience the raw beauty and craftsmanship of nature, making this a must-do route for adventure seekers and nature enthusiasts alike.
- Yubeng Waterfall - This trek takes guests deeper into a picturesque valley that leads to a dead end, requiring them to retrace their steps back. Starting from Yubeng, they follow the signs as they take an uphill trek to Sacred Waterfall, about 4 hours, reaching an elevation of 3650 meters. The waterfall is fed by the melting snow from Meili Snow Mountain. In spring and summer, the increased flow from the snowmelt makes the waterfall magnificent and powerful, while in other seasons, it cascades gently down the mountainside. Revered as a sacred site by Tibetans, the waterfall is a place for spiritual cleansing—many come here to bathe under its waters to purify their souls. According to Tibetan tradition, guests may walk clockwise around the waterfall three times to receive blessings and good fortune. After soaking in the serene beauty and spiritual energy of the site, they return to Yubeng Village as the finish line for the hike.
- Yubeng Village - An easy trek day, the road follows a gentle downhill route with views of canyons, rivers, and meadows, passing through the primitive forest along the way. The trek concludes at Ninong Village via Ninong Grand Canyon, wrapping up the Yubeng Trekking. Guests are then driven back to Shangri-La to conclude this adventure.
