Then, explore the nearby market renowned for its Tibetan handicrafts.
Proceed from McLeodGanj to the Church of St. John in the Wilderness. This charming church, built in the neo-gothic style in 1852, features stunning Belgian stained glass windows. The grounds also serve as the resting place for Lord Elgin, a former Viceroy of British India.
- Dal Lake - Next, enjoy a walk around Dal Lake, a scenic spot surrounded by Deodar forests. Nearby, you will find a Hindu temple dedicated to Durveshwar Mahadev.
