Fantastic tour of Dhaka - I had one day in Dhaka and wanted to see as much as I could. Rocky helped me arrange a special tour-- Dhaka like a local combined with a food tour! Dhaka is such a challenging city to navigate. We were able to see sites all over the city, when it would have taken me all day to travel to one site if I were left to my own devices. Rocky is knowledgeable and friendly, and I learned so much about the culture! As a woman traveling alone, I felt very safe on this tour and was able to travel to places I wouldn't be able to navigate safely alone. I strongly recommend booking the Bangladesh like a Local tour with Cholo. Dhaka is not a city that can be navigated solo if you don't know it well. The tour was fun, professional, and so rich in sights and culture.

Highly recommend. - I had the most amazing 2 days with Rocky. Right from planning the trip via email and text messages, to us finallly meeting and exploring Dhaka, it was all smooth and a great experience overall. I did the one day experience Dhaka like local tour and tried a few street food items. Next day I took the day trip to sonargao where I got to see an abandoned old city (my fav part of the trip). I’d highly recommend Rocky, not only because it’s a great tour but as an individual , he is passionate about his work, he reads his clientele and gives u precisely the amount of information that your brain can intake.

Highly Recommend - This was the perfect tour for my first day in Dhaka. I booked this tour to visit the more complicated tourist attractions in Dhaka, in which having a guide is essential to experience without complications. Rocky also offered explanations and background on places throughout the tour. He is an incredible guide and seems like he understands western customs well, making you feel comfortable at all times. Highlights were the Sadarghat, boat ride, and Ship Repair/Salvage yards. I couldn’t have been more satisfied with the tour, and would even recommend booking longer tours with Rocky outside of Dhaka, if you have the chance.

Dhaka "The local way" and more! - The absolute best way to see Dhaka! I was in the region again and decided to plan for a couple days in Bangladesh after my original plan to visit was cancelled in March 2020 due to Covid. The previous cancellation was a bit of a blessing in disguise as I do not believe the day tours I had booked previously were with Rocky at Cholo, but now I couldn't imagine having experienced Bangladesh with anyone else! I had two full days to spend in country and after a bunch of research and coming across various tour operators, it appeared Cholo offered the best itineraries to make the most out of my time. However, given I was traveling on the weekend, and during Ramadan, I knew some of the standard itineraries would need to be altered a bit due to sites being closed and food not being as readily accessible during the day. So, I decided to reach out to Cholo directly to discuss how to make a combination of Dhaka the Local Way, Panam/Sonargaon and a food tour all work during the time I'd be in country. Rocky was quick to respond and provide a proposed itinerary that contained everything I had hoped to get out of my trip and more! The day before the tour, Rocky reached out on WhatsApp to confirm the starting time and he was in my hotel lobby 10 minutes before that to make sure I wasn't waiting at all. He was also right on time the second day as well. My tour (really 3 separate tours combined into a customized weekend with Rocky) was absolutely perfect! He was always asking if I wanted to see or do something else and making sure I was comfortable with everything, and during the food tour, despite the difficulties with Ramadan, he made sure I was still able to try great local food and kept asking if I wanted more to eat or drink. Overall, I couldn't imagine the tours going any better! If you're traveling to Bangladesh, I presume you are bit of an intrepid traveller to begin with as it's not your typical first stop as a tourist, so it's good to go into the country expecting the energy and organized chaos of the 2nd densest city in the world, but as long as your expectations are properly set, you will have an absolute blast with Rocky and you will always feel comfortable and in good hands with him! Also, I know he offers the city tour by car as well, but let me just say, if you can handle it, definitely do the tour "the local way"! Traffic is already beyond insane enough going by rickshaw which can squeeze down narrow paths and get you places faster, so if you try to do this by car, I'd imagine you'd add multiple hours to the time of the tour just in your car being stuck in traffic rather than on the streets interacting with the locals who are so excited to see tourists. Dhaka the local way is really the only way to see the real Dhaka, and I have to believe travelling with Rocky and Cholo is the only way to see the real Bangladesh! I can't wait to come back and see more of the country with him outside of the chaotic city. Thanks Rocky! Don't forget about me when you become a famous YouTube star!
