Highlights
  • beginning with a visit to the village of Derynia and the Famagusta Viewpoint to get a glimpse of how life in Famagusta, including the varoshia tourist area, was prior to the Turkish invasion in 1974.
  • Next, we’ll head towards the checkpoint to crossover into the Turkish army-occupied Northern part of the island, passing by the ‘ghost city’ which is off-limits for visitors. We will further delve into the old city, surrounded by impressive Venetian walls, where you can take photos, shop, or just unwind with a cup of coffee. You could also visit the Othello Tower to capture some phenomenal pictures from atop. Note that comprehensive guidance will only be offered at the Famagusta Viewpoint before entering the north-side.
  • Finally, we’ll set off to the picturesque Eastern beaches, from where we’ll embark on our boat cruise, sailing by the diverse coastal line with its coves and sea caves. Our ensuing stopover, the highlight of our journey, is at the sparkling ‘Blue Lagoon’. Known for its pristine waters, here you can unwind, swim or go snorkeling. Snorkeling gear is available on-board at no charge. During our scenic cruise, there’ll be an opportunity for another swim session. An appetizing lunch, whipped up by our chef along with a complimentary local beverage, will be served during the journey. Please be informed, there will be no guidance during the boat cruise. Unfavorable weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances which are beyond our control might lead to the cancellation of the second segment of the tour, namely the boat trip and lunch. In such rare cases, guests will be reimbursed with €28.00 per adult and €15.00 per child.

Daveys do Famagusta - We had a wonderful day. Tasos was our guide, he was very informative, passionate but also funny and kept us amused throughout the trip. The information behind Famagusta is very sad and tragic and this was delivered perfectly by Tasos. Then on to the boat we went. It was fantastic, weather was great, music was great and the food was very good. Swim stops we perfect and we met a very large turtle 🐢. Great trip would highly recommend
